Iginla is obviously getting a little old and is on the downswing of his career, but I think he's still a very good player. I wouldn't say overrated at all - the guy has 30+ goals in his last 11 seasons. You can't overrate that. This year he has 22 points / 31 games playing on a shitty team with some sub-par players. He can and will be a major contributor, especially when put on a good team with some good players. Iginla's UFA status next year has a lot to do with the return. |

Difference is a pretty high number of Flames fans polled wanted to see Iggy moved, so he can at least have a chance to win somewhere and so the Flames can get some assets in return. I was choked we got nothing back for Naslund, when it was clear that so many here did not want him re-signed. At that point I'd argue that he was no longer the face of the Canucks even, with the emergence of the Sedins and Luongo. It would have been great to get a couple of draft picks back at the very least. |
Iginla brings more than numbers Very respected and continues to play the hard. He is a leader, and can still add an element on the ice that not many can. |

Anyways I dont know any of those prospects Matt Bartkowski Selected by Florida Panthers round 7 #190 overall 2008 NHL Entry Draft Alexander Khockhlachev Selected by Boston Bruins roun 2 #40 overall 2011 NHL Entry Draft Looked up there stats and Khockhlachev is a PPG player in the OHL and Bartkowski seems to have decent stats as a defencemen in the AHL. |
I really like Iginla. For a while, when Calgary was actually considered a rivalry, I would openly admit to being an Iginla fan despite my hatred toward the team. If he puts on that Bruins jersey.... ugggggh. :okay: |
Bostons top 8 Seguin, Bergeron, Marchand, Lucic, Krejci, Horton, Iginla, Peverly. Thats wat u call a stacked Top 8. Hopefully the Pens and Bruins just kill each other and they are limping there way into the finals against us. |

Now do we overpay with picks and prospects to better our team? Or shall we stay the same and be good for years to come but not good enough to ever win the cup........... Fuck it, sell the farm! |

Why does the Boston Bruins always get sweet deals on trades :fulloffuck: I remember we were suppose to aquire Siedenberg to play with Erehoff but he got traded to Boston for cheap. Then we got destroy by Siedenberg in the finals with his toughness against the Sedins. Quote:

I really wonder what type of offers he got for Lu in the off-season? In hindsight, I probably would have taken anything that included a top 6 winger/top 4 PP quarterback. |
LOL @ Feaster getting a conditional 1st ONLY if Iginla resigns in Boston. Edit: The Flames board is blowing up over the conditional pick.. |
