He's here until 2015 unless bought out or traded lol. I'm hoping he has a great season next year where he lives up to potential.

booth, ballard and one of lu/schnieds will be gone, its obvious. no point including them in the next years roster, that frees up enough money. you would more than likely be seeing a lineup like this. schroeder could be moved to play wing depending who the canucks get to play keslers wing or if they get a 3c

aside from that one terrible check, tanev/ballard have been one of the best pairings. then av went ahead and split them up, healthy scratched ballard, and surprise, surprise he played like shit. av is as much to blame for ballard's performance as ballard is himself.

clearly the two cannot co-exist and that just means ballard is on his way out.

Oh, but according to several people on here, his job is safe! All cause we managed a 5 game win streak, mostly against bottom feeding teams.

Ballard played like shit in the games leading up to his healthy scratches. Anyway you look at it hes our 6th D-man and they will always have short leashes.

coach doesnt have final call on who the team acquires, they only decide who plays the games. doesnt matter if its av or not

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone ever said AV's job was safe. It's not.

Considering what he has had to work with this season, I think he's done a good job. Anytime I've defended the guy is when several people on here would auto-blame him for a loss.

AV has his ways but he's not a bad coach.

Edler, Bieksa, Hamhuis and Alberts have all had their moments where they played like shit. The hate AV has for Ballard is beyond ridiculous, the guy never got a fair shake in Vancouver. MG acquired him to be a top 4 d-man who could chip in on the 2nd PP unit, but instead, we had Aaron fucking Rome playing the 2nd PP over Ballard.

At what point does MG lose patience with AV's refusal to make use of new acquisitions?

this situation reminds me of the movie moneyball in a way where the coach refused to adapt to the vision that the GM had for the team. ultimately the GM just got rid of all the players that the coach favored.

Media sensationalism at its finest again. They're just discussing the trade deadline is coming up and that no.1 COULD be traded before then. Just like he COULD have been traded anytime in the past year.

I really hope he gets traded for a good forward/forwards. Schneider is awesome and right now the forward depth is terrible - it's like a 1st line, awesome 3rd line, 4th line, then an AHL line. If any other injuries come around we're done. Trading Lu will also let Schneider play more so he can be in a groove by the time the playoffs come around.

I wont be happy at all if we get a package of players, cause usually they are a package of crap. Im hoping player for player when it comes to a Luongo trade.

I was thinking 1 goal and done for the game.
