Hi

Tim Budong 04-03-2013 05:11 AM

Everything and Everyone in Canada is centered around the leafs
Kipper or Luongo?

darkhorse is Ryan Miller, but will Buffalo ship the disgrunted goalie out of town???

hotshot1 04-03-2013 05:17 AM

I love trade deadline day.

I just hope Lu gets traded for a good top 6. Come on Gillis.

Of course Management continues to push that Luongo is a very important guy in the room and is part of "TheCore"

Trading him could upset the room as well

plus Gillis is asking quite a bit

hotshot1 04-03-2013 05:32 AM

I doubt the room would be upset considering that rumors of him moving have been swirling for over a year. And yeah Gillis is probably asking for too much but after getting Roy, apparently the demands have changed and don't require a good center. Hopefully something gets worked out.

I also hope they make a move for a good bottom pairing dman for injury insurance needs. Right now the depth chart goes:

Bieksa-Edler
Hamhuis-Garrison
Tanev-Alberts
Ballard

If 2 or more dmen get hurt, we're done. I don't even know who's next on the depth chart after Ballard. Barker's waived so Corrado?

Fooling your boss during NHL trade deadline day | News1130

Quote:

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s a dilemma many people in this city face every year on NHL Trade Deadline Day: How do you keep tabs on what the Canucks are doing without getting in trouble at work?

We may have found a solution for you.

There is a website called Hardlywork.in and it will disguise your Twitter feed as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

“You can import and view your live Twitter feed and Facebook feed in Excel so it looks like you’re actually working, but really, you’re just keeping tabs on hockey,” Breakfast Television Calgary tech expert Mike Yawney tells News1130.

“For the most part, it looks like an official work document in front of you. If a supervisor walks by, chances are they won’t even think twice and they’ll walk right past you,” he adds.

Yawney says if you don’t use a computer at work, you have to get creative.

He says faking a stomach virus and running to the bathroom with your smart phone isn’t the most tech-savvy option, but it will get the job done in a pinch.

-heard Mike Gillis mention on Team1040 this morning that he is looking at three team trade scenarios.

A threesome on trade deadline day. :hotbaby:

Kipper is looking likely to stay in CGY

bballguy 04-03-2013 07:41 AM

Kiprusoff appears to be leaning toward staying in Calgary and possibly retiring at the end of the year, according to TSN's Darren Dreger via other sources.

Anyone read the Tony Gallagher's article about saying Kassian enjoying too much of the night life in Vancouver while having a back injury?

Gallagher: Canucks land Roy, now look for someone to play with Kesler

Tim Budong 04-03-2013 07:47 AM

Nikolai Khabibulin could get moved and is a cheap option for many teams looking for stability and insurance heading into the playoffs

Unless EDM still believes they can make the playoffs

Truth is, I can't see Miller or Bishop moved to TO since they are int he same division

A Goaltender will have to come from elsewhere if they are serious about it.

If you want to hear some wild stories about NHL players, be friends with people in the Vancouver hotel industry.

Well, Facebook told me that Kass was at Bar None a couple of weeks back.

He's young with money in a city like Vancouver where people flock to people with money. It's to be expected.

According to NHL.com Kipper is staying in Cowtown for sure now.

pastarocket 04-03-2013 07:59 AM

-interesting information about Roy on the Canucks.com trade blog:

Trade Deadline 2013 Live Blog - Vancouver Canucks - Features

5:02 a.m. -- Ugh, nothing now either. Let's focus on what we do know: the Canucks landed Derek Roy yesterday in exchange for Kevin Connauton and a draft pick in 2013. I salute this trade, an organization can never have enough Dereks, especially ones who spell their name D-E-R-E-K, none of that Derrick stuff. Thanks to some stealth research by our web intern Colin, here are a few things we think we think about Roy: he drives an awesome 599 Ferrari, he built his parents their own master bedroom at his summer home, he rocked a great mullet with the Rochester Americans and is dominant at NHL ’94 for Super Nintendo. What's not to love about the new guy?

Iceman-19 04-03-2013 08:00 AM

Yes if you watch the Gongshow hockey apparel youtube vids he shows off his house. Hes a party guy, but hes young with money. I don't think he will be a problem. He seems pretty serious about hockey.
