Raymonds high point was 24 goals, a player like him who is also damaged goods is not what the Canucks need to get back to the finals, period.

the other problem with him is if he isnt in the top 6, can he play a physical or even energy role as a bottom 6? im not sure he could do that either

Canucks can't walk away from whatever the arbitrator awards Raymond. Guaranteed contract.

Hondaracer 06-15-2012 06:24 AM

Why? Because they offered him the downgraded salary? Many teams have walked away from arbitration awards

Canucks cannot walk away because they are taking Raymond to arbitration. A team may only have the option to walk away from an arbitration ruling if the player elects for arbitration.

Hondaracer 06-15-2012 07:04 AM

Ahh, disappointing, want MayRay gone

PornMaster 06-15-2012 07:36 AM

who says a trade can't happen?

Believe in Gillis. If he can get Ehrhoff for Patrick White and Rahimi.

What can Raymond get you? :fullofwin: lol

21 year old Wanye Gretzky :troll:

7seven 06-15-2012 09:33 AM

I would honestly trade Raymond for $1.....for those of you old enough to remember, NHL used to allow these trades haha, Ray Sheppard and Kris Draper were both traded for $1

Media Release: Aaron Volpatti has been re-signed to a one-year contract.

those were different times. SJ was trying to free up some cap space to trade for heatley so they grabbed a couple of low pay prospects that they can put to the minors. raymond will make 2+ mil and probably have to clear waivers before you can send him down.

Tampa Bay Lightning ‏@TBLightning
Bolts acquire goaltender Anders Lindback and center Kyle Wilson from Nashville via trade. Details coming soon...
Guess thats 1 less potential destination for Lu

apparently its Lindback, K. Wilson, 7th to Tampa for 2 2nds, S. Caron and a 3rd

rsx 06-15-2012 12:38 PM

Good pick up for TB, Lindback's going to be solid

Tim Budong 06-15-2012 01:02 PM

Lindback is great
Its his time to shine away from Rinne

kwy 06-15-2012 01:11 PM

Agreed, he was fantastic against the Canucks when Rinne was pulled this season. Hopefully he becomes a sold starter.

The market for Columbus Blue Jackets winger Rick Nash is heating up ahead of next week's NHL Draft. According to the Columbus Dispatch, as many as seven teams have had 'significant discussions' with the club in the last 10 days about acquiring Nash.

The report adds that the New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes are among the teams that have expressed interest.

Report: Nash trade talks heating up ahead of NHL Draft

I was wondering how long it would take for the Nash talk to start up again.

If Lindback can you get 2 2nd Rounders and a 3rd...I really wonder what we can get with Schneider or Luongo.

Not really racist! 06-15-2012 06:03 PM

Well I guess Lu to Toronto is now 91% confirmed cause TB now has a potential starter

#Badgers‬ D-man and former ‪#Ducks‬ draft pick Justin Schultz is expected to sign with a Canadien club ‪#Leafs‬ ‪#Canucks‬ or ‪#Oilers‬

murd0c 06-15-2012 06:35 PM

Now that would be big a big pick up with we sign Schultz

spideyv2 06-15-2012 06:41 PM

My only concern with Schultz is that he's a rookie, and he's undersized
