Pre-Brian Campbell numbers: 2009/10 - 2 G 6 A = 8 pts 2010/11 - 5 G 13 A = 18 pts With Brian Campbell 2011/12 - 16 G 17 A = 33 pts Same goes for whoever gets to play RW with the Sedins. Easy to pad your stats when you play with good players. (Ex. Carter, Pyatt, Steve Bernier) |
Power play goals |
Garrison has a nice bomb of a shot. Alot more accurate than salos. Garrison is also at the peak of his Career. |
the kid is 27 and has tons of years left. Not even close to his peak |

2011-2012 - Regular Season - Defenseman - Summary - Points - NHL.com - Stats The guy had 0 PPG in playing 100+ games then all of a sudden he has 9 after playing a season with Brian Campbell. |
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie Garrison left $ on table - was offered "Wideman money" elsewhere - but wanted to play for hometown VAN, which held firm on internal $ scale. |
thats why I hope we go after Campbell right now. It's a real risky move for sure but Gillis had to do something and this is what everyone wanted. |

one good year, then big term and contract. not a proven commodity so its a risk. |

i was thinking prime age .. The Optimal Age To Be An Athlete - AskMen |
Ya, I was thinking 26-34 is the common prime age for a hockey player |
Great shot tho: |
oooo... i can hear it now...henrik cross-ice to garrison...in the back of the net.... |
Garrison probably isn't going to score 16 goals again but he's far from a one-hit wonder defensively. In 10/11, him and Mike Weaver were probably the most underrated pairing in the league. They faced the toughest competition, started in their own zone 60% of the time and were on the ice for approximately 2 goals/60. The lowest on the team. This was slightly more than Hamhuis and less than Edler and Erhroff who played on a far superior Canucks team. |
I'd rather hold onto ballad than take on Campbells additional |
Garrison = Ballard 2.0?? i highly doubt it Canucks and Panthers should Merge already..lol...Vanrida Canthers |
I enjoy reading fans comments at times especially at CDC MG doesn't sign someone = worst gm. Fire him MG signs someone= worst signing. Too much etc etc I'm glad we got him. Our PP struggled last year so this should help out a lot.. Edler feeding him pucks on pp and vice versa ... Pretty sure he got offered a ton more $$ too If he clicks with Canucks the 4.6 hit wud be a steal If not then he will still be serviceable |

13:20 PP TOI in 09/10 (we won't put much weight on this year anyway), Led the Panthers in PP TOI in 10/11 with 113:21 and played 194:21 in 11/12 with leader Brian Campbell (339:41) Comparing PP TOI with PP production 09-11 = 126:41 TOI with 0 PPG 11/12 = 194:21 TOI with 9 PPG I'm pretty sure Brian Campbell is a factor. |
Glad to see some action by the Canucks today. Important signing, too, with Rome and Salo gone. I was hoping to see Lu moved today, but apparently that wasn't Gillis' priority: @VanCanucks Gillis on goalies - "That was not our priority today. We are making the best decisions for this organization." |
|
For #Canucks fans who like to rip Mason Raymond, he is real close with Jason Garrison, who just told me Raymond played role in coming here |
Looks like Raymond isn't useless after all :ahwow: |
cant call it overpayment when a pylon like wideman get 5.25 a year and when salo almost gets 4mil a year |
@D_Booth7: Can't wait to see @kbieksa3 feed @JasonGarrison52 one timers. Great to have Garry back on my team and back in his hometown! |
