Commentator's a dumb fuck. You can see the busted piece hanging off his helmet and the bigger part land in front of Beagle. |
Didn't Yzerman make visors mandatory for the TB players after seeing Malhotra's incident? Posted via RS Mobile |
damn 7 games left to play, playoff just around the corner :) |
Interesting tweet from Blue Line Sports at Lougheed Mall: @BlueLineSports_: Are you ready for the playoffs? #Canucks car flags now available. http://t.co/jG5TNbwvLN Are you getting one of these car flags for your car? Posted via RS Mobile |

Peculiar tweet by Booth yesterday. I guess he figures he'll be bought out, but I feel like you shouldn't go out and publicly admit it (sort of) mid season haha. Quote:

Which team gets the last playoff spot in the west? Clutch game by Detroit today. The Red Wings play Nashville one more time on April 25th at home. That is gonna be a heck of a game. I say Detroit is the eighth seeded team in the west when the playoffs start. Posted via RS Mobile |
I hope CBJ gets that 8th seed, but it will probably be Detroit. |
If Detroit gets the last playoff spot in the West, a playoff series between Chicago and Detroit would be a TV ratings booster for the networks. Two original six teams playing each other would be fun to watch. -hoping a Blackhawks player gets Kronwalled in the playoffs. Posted via RS Mobile |
^Bolland pls |
I hope Detroit gets 7th, plays Anaheim first round, and I can go watch while I'm in LA. |
I hope CBJ makes it in, and NYR fall out. I love Nash as a player, but I think he's a bit of a cunt for pledging his allegiance to CBJ to get his long term deal with NTC, then asking to leave not even a full year later. Just a bit of poetic justice. Like when Hossa left the Pens for the Wings, then the Pens won the cup against the Wings that very year. On the topic of Wings talk, Jimmy Howard is supposed to be getting a 6 year deal worth 5.3M caphit. I don't follow the Wings admittedly, and some are saying the only reason the Wings are even in playoff talk right now is because of Howard's play with an overall craptacular defensive lineup, but I still have trouble putting him into the same category as other elite goalies. He's always played behind great teams/defenses up until this year and he has never had to be great, just good enough. 5.3M hit for 6 years is some serious commitment for a guy who many consider average or just above average. I see him more as a 3.5M-4M goalie, maybe 4.5M if somebody wants to overpay for his services. Is he worth 5.3Mx6 years to any other team in the league? |

For the GM, it's a moment saturated in honesty, frustration, spite, fortitude and doom. Nash forced his hand; he responded with middle fingers raised. It may not be the best thing for the GM, the player, the team, the fans or the trade market — but here's to someone in professional sports allowing their aggravation to manifest in "the truthful thing to do." |
