Until the Sedins win a cup they won't ever stop being criticized. Same with Luongo.

Simple as that.

Yeah, I'm not sure....I just see something different in other elite guys in the league...maybe I just don't fully comprehend the game, but like I said, I remember personally feeling like I could rely on Kesler to take control of the game few years back, but I've never felt that way about the Sedin's and they've been great for a far longer period than was....

I don't think I'm aimlessly criticizing them....In fact, I don't think I'm really criticizing them at all since I said I don't blame them for not having it....I think it's something you're either born with or raised to have....it's probably quite a difficult mentality to train someone to have...

Oh yeah, forgot we're playing B2B vs the Blues today :lol

But still...this thread is pretty......interesting after a loss/off day.

Not sure about the fuss after we beat Nashville

bballguy 04-16-2013 08:40 AM

I don't see the fuss...Everyone just gets so butthurt if someone says something that they disagree with....it's okay to have different opinions on a topic, yaknow?

Take a look at the players CHI has

These players seemingly have more desire to win, they have the ability to step on the throat of opponents when they are down and bury that 3rd and 4th goal

It would be interesting to see how many game winners the Sedins have in the last two years

Honestly, how hasn't this POS been banned yet....at the very least, he should've been banned for his idiotic, tasteless post in the Boston Bombings thread:

Oh yeah, totally agree with you with having different opinions on a topic. Its also a bonus when you're giving your opinion bballguy, with info/facts/knowledge to back it up

Other people on the otherhand... :lawl:

Totally agree lol, you can't just throw out an opinion like it's a fact, and then have no explanation or evidence to back it up which, like you said, too many people in this thread do...

No one has made any sort of argument as to who is softer to play against out of all of the western playoff teams, sedin fan boys just want to shut their eyes and imagine things happening on the ice that aren't there.

Sedins>Thornton Marleau

I believe the Sedins play the "soft" game by design . No retaliation = more powerplay time.

Fail....After explaining it over and over again, you still don't fucking get it.....It has NOTHING to do with taking penalties...

God, why do I even respond to this guy....I'd honestly rather have a conversation with Timpo...

Don't let his retarded posts get you off track....When you say they don't have "it", it has nothing to do with them retaliating in a way which leads to penalties....

Razor Ramon HG 04-16-2013 09:39 AM

You guys are confused about killer instinct?

Best description of killer instinct for a Canucks fan is Trevor Linden in Game 7 of the 1994 SCF.

EDIT: On a side-note, I can't believe it's been almost five years since he retired. It doesn't even feel like that long ago.

Sure, I'll agree that the Sedin's are soft and aren't the toughest to play against all the time. Despite that, I think they're still very good hockey players and believe the Canucks can win with them in the lineup.

On the flip side, we're talking as if the Sedins are the only guys on this team who have any skill at all. I agree that when we're talking about killer instinct like you are, they haven't shown it to the degree that is needed to go that extra step. Guys like Kes and Burr have shown that killer instinct before, even if the result hasn't been in our favour.

Tim Budong 04-16-2013 09:57 AM

Is it that slow that we have to talk about this "killer instinct"?
