What's on top of the guys head with the Sharks jersey? Not really racist! Okay, maybe just a little bit. http://i48.tinypic.com/15psdoo.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...ya-canuck1.png |

Regarding Paul Kariya, this may sound strange coming from a die hard (and people here can attest to it) Ducks fan, but I think he's a complete douchebag. People can point to his inspiring performance in Game 6 of the '03 Finals, but it was JS Giguere who put that team on his back and took them through the playoffs (not to mention the scoring was done by committee). What really made me dislike him however, is what happened right after. Big team rally in Anaheim and he tells the fans he's going to bring the Cup here in '04. Verbally commits to another contract, breaks it, takes a paycut and signs with the Avalanche. So not really a big fan of his, to say the least. |

The 2001 Avalanche were pretty beasty.. although pre-salary cap era. Stacked up front with Sakic, Forsberg, Tanguay, Hejduk and Drury. And then you had Bourque, Foote, and Blake on the backend with Roy minding the net.. They beat the Devils in the finals who were just as stacked IMO. |
Not bringing back Torres at the price of a 3rf rounder was a huge mistake Posted via RS Mobile |
^lets hope thats not the case but, as someone mentioned earlier. We dont have a guy that will strike fear into our opponents. If byron bitz didnt get sooo injured all the time, id sign him Posted via RS Mobile |

Yeah, anybody have any stats for hits in last night's game? I constantly saw Canuck players getting knocked over by Blues. Edit: Hmm, according to the scoresheet on NHL.com the hits were 22-21 for the Blues (Backes with 6). |

5 - 10 spots higher in the third round doesn't really make much of a difference.. I'm thinking Gillis offered a 4th or a 5th instead |
Keep in mind that the Canucks cup run in 2011 was one goal of not going passed the first round. What I'm saying is that it doesn't matter if we have Torres to strike fear out there or not? Last time Torres was with us, Daniel was a punching bag. I like it how our lineup now consists more bigger guys than what we had in 2011 in tough guys that can stand up to you. Kassian/Weise/Sestito/Pinnizotto vs Torres/Glass/Oreskovich (he's a financial consultant now)/ Bolduc? The whole killer instinct or having players to strike fear like Torres? Last time Torres strike fear to Seabrook, Hawks almost came back from a 3-0 deficit and almost 1 goal from going to the second round. We need the mentality of you fuck with our guys? Wait till the next shift, we will fuck with yours. |

Maybe he knew Torres would push us over the top and he didn't want that. Maybe he was bitter after being with our organization for 17 years and not being GM? Pure speculation 3rd and 4th would of made better sense on an objective standpoint went full retard  |

there will never be another player who can process Bure's speed, never.... |
Theres plenty of players who can skate as fast, but none who can handle the puck and let a shot like that rip while at full speed. Incredible. |
Oh hey, the 2001 Panthers used the drop pass pp breakout too. |
