From the article: The Canucks are sitting in first place in the Northwest Division with 57 points, six ahead of the idle Minnesota Wild with three games left to play for both clubs. That means Vancouver can claim its fifth straight division title with a point in tonight's game
If the damn Blackhawks win tonight, they win the President's Trophy.
-hoping that this is the only piece of hardware that the Blackhawks get this season.
Some stats about the teams which won the Stanley Cup and President's Trophy in the same season. Detroit was the last team to have this achievement back in 2008:
Frankie getting to play with Edler in his debut against the Hawks. Not bad at all. Top 6 is loaded up, that line of Weise-Ebbet-Kassian seems pretty useless.
Anaheim looks so sad and Toronto should have gone with James Reimer since he has quite a cult following and a really good season.
#Datsyuk (Russian market), #Pietrangelo, #Malkin (same as Datsyuk), #Thornton, #Kopitar (perennial close-to-ppg),
JVR - mobile for his size and able to park himself infront of the net but goes for stretches without scoring. Playoff performance could win my vote (even if its too late by then).
Lupul has been my favourite and is easily the best on the team when healthy but he has missed half the season.
Alternate choices:
Phaneuf - possible Norris candidate this season
Kadri - having a huge season but the cover vote could go to his head
Kessel - quietly earning a ppg playing a more complete game: top 5 in assists, backchecking, getting into scrums.
Reimer - Noberto Noungo
I'm leaning towards Kessel since Phaneuf has been on the cover before.
Yeah, I don't know what AV's thinking with that one. I'm guessing he's just trying some shit out while the games don't matter. Playoff lines NEED TO BE THIS.
Daniel - Henrik - Burrows
Hansen - Kesler - Raymond/Kassian
Higgins - Roy - Raymond/Kassian
Weise - Lapierre - Sestito/Pinizzotto
MayRay, Hansen and Kassian need to get going.
And Bieksa and Hamhuis have to be 100% for the playoffs.
^it's nice, but not that impressive....not for a star athlete anyway....
It's a very nice looking modern house with lots of naturl light.... How can it not be impressive? he doesn't need to spend 50mill on a house I personally think 4mill is a good price for a star athlete.
