Classic. Instead of blaming themselves, they place it on the refs. Fuck the refs. Where wast he team 4 games ago? Why aren't goals being scored, what's with the giveaways? Fuck, step up and be a man and accept you guys played like nancies and got outclassed by a better, more motivated team.

Mike Oxbig 05-07-2013 11:01 PM

Luu, Burrows, Kesler, Sedins showed up. Gillis should be responsible for this sweep... hope to see bickell & maybe horton here next season. Biggest UFA fish out there with grit/heart/goal scoring ability. Torres too hopefully.

rsx 05-07-2013 11:07 PM

No thanks to Horton. Concussion issues. If he was healthy I'm down.

Would love to see a player like Brouwer and S. Thorton on the team.

theevilslave 05-07-2013 11:08 PM

At least the canucks are in a better goalie situation than the pens are with Fleury :troll:

Geez. The city supports the team through tickets and merch. We're essentially stockholders to to this team/company and we demand better roi. If you want to blindly "believe in blue" and just have faith, join a religion, where God always wins.

Had ice paks since the mid 90s when they just sucked. When they made the playoffs finally it was have as many tickets as you want. Two years ago we were down to one ticket per round and in the final round they said they cancelled our tickets. Took days of complaining to get them back.

If they're not loyal to us why do we have to be loyal to them?

Horton would look solid with the Sedins. I doubt he would come to Vancouver, though, even with Rome gone.

But so we thought with every big man brought in for the twins. Their game has changed thanks to Alex Burrows.

But hey. New management and coaching staff can make a big difference. Maybe Kassian can learn a thing or two playing with the twins under a new system.

AzNightmare 05-07-2013 11:45 PM

I'm just hoping the new coach will let our young prospects grow and develop properly.

Ronin 05-07-2013 11:45 PM

What prospects?

Me too size small worn once. $100 :D

If Horton and Bickell are brought in, is because they will be along side Kesler. Sedins Burrows are untouchable, they still got what it takes to put points up.

If the series was neck and neck I could understand why some fans would be upset about some calls that should've happened during OT in the last game that brought us out.

But is it really worth whining about when the Canucks have obviously been steam-rolled completely flat and swept off the playoffs cleanly? I mean, you guys are expecting a come back all the way to the cup? Not to hose you guys down but I'd like to put everyone back into perspective: we played a _partial_ season, beating shitty teams to get us into the playoffs. The Sedin's, Burrows, Kessler, Luongo (sort of), were all better players in 2011 than they were this year. Stats aside, just visually estimate by the way they're playing, you can see a difference in motivation and skill. We just didn't have it this year, let it go and hope for a better 2013/2014 season. By the way, someone deleted my 2013/2013 official nhl thread.... why??

Horton is also a somewhat big game player. He had a solid run with the Bruins in 2011

Mike Oxbig 05-07-2013 11:55 PM

Boston wont be able to afford Horton. Suggested Cap hit for him will be 5.2-5.8mill

Yes, ultimately, Canucks were the less talented roster, and was far from making up the difference with just sheer determination and heart.
The OT penalty call was bad. But I wasn't convinced the Sharks weren't just about to score even strength anyway.
With the way the game was going at that point, there were way too many scoring chances for the Sharks, and Canucks were struggling just to get solid possession in the neutral zone. The best they could do was poke the puck past the blue line and battle for the puck in the neutral zone before it got taken back into the Canuck's zone again.

No, everything went downhill when Rome KO'd Horton in game 3.

spideyv2 05-08-2013 12:07 AM

just saw a replay of that Sedin "boarding" call - Wow...

IMO, even Bieksa's penalty was iffy

It doesn't matter if it was 3-3 or 3-0; As a true fan, you always have that tiniest bit of hope that somehow, some way, your team will pull through...We at least saw some signs of life from the Canucks today, and no matter what, you want to go down with a fair fight right til' the end...Am I stupid and think it's very likely at all that they'd perform this miracle comeback? No, of course not...but you take it one game at a time, and if we were going to eventually lose, I'd like it to be the opposition finishing us off, not the refs....
