2 days after the fact, I still say that the team needs to be blown up and changes need to be made from top to bottom - even when it comes to operations. When everyone outside of Vancouver and ex-pats hates the team, it's a failure of PR management which permeates everything including the ability to lure free agents, getting fair treatment from the officials, and even the ability of Gillis to make deals.

No one should remain untouchable, not even the Sedins.

Its funny seeing all the proposals here.Its going to be all downhill from now.There are no quick fixes for this team.its gonna have to rebuild .the next time we actually we could compete for the cup is probably a good 5-6 years from now. It's time to stock up on quality draft picks and be patient with our prospects.all the team go through this. It's almost impossible to "buy" a team esp. In the salary cap era.

That's not true, it doesn't HAVE to be done like this, you CAN rebuild on the fly, but you have to be damn good at it...There are plenty of examples of teams doing that do this...
