2 days after the fact, I still say that the team needs to be blown up and changes need to be made from top to bottom - even when it comes to operations. When everyone outside of Vancouver and ex-pats hates the team, it's a failure of PR management which permeates everything including the ability to lure free agents, getting fair treatment from the officials, and even the ability of Gillis to make deals.

The Sedins can play with each other rack up points in the regular season but in playoffs they should try this and get use to it. 2 Sedins on 1 line gonna get shutdown for sure if we're not on the PP.

As I said before, the new pacific division is not gonna roll over like the NW. Gotta size up and have the ability to clang and bang with the rest of them if this team wants to see a playoff berth next year.
Its funny seeing all the proposals here.Its going to be all downhill from now.There are no quick fixes for this team.its gonna have to rebuild .the next time we actually we could compete for the cup is probably a good 5-6 years from now. It's time to stock up on quality draft picks and be patient with our prospects.all the team go through this. It's almost impossible to "buy" a team esp. In the salary cap era.

That's not true, it doesn't HAVE to be done like this, you CAN rebuild on the fly, but you have to be damn good at it...There are plenty of examples of teams doing that do this...
