really? didn't know that

Iceman_2K 05-09-2013 05:42 PM

While we're at it, why don't we lose ticket sales and skirt financial problems.

We don't have a rabid die-hard fan base like Edmonton, lets start right there. Vancouver has a lot of band wagon fans, and without the playoffs, a lot of people are going to, if not already, jump off. You can tell the hardcore base that you're going to burn the farm down and rebuild, and not make the playoffs for 5 years, but your casual fans, and probably the Aquamen, aren't going to go for that. Are you honestly going to believe that the Aquamen are willing to live through 5 years of not making the playoffs and seeing reductions in the amount of money being pulled in just so the team is rebuilt from ground up? Not likely. We don't have a Mario Lemieux waiting on the side to save the team if the Aquamen decide they're losing too much money to justify keeping it.

AWWWW YEAHHHHH!

That Karlsson > Subban bet was a good call by 7seven! Mad props! :)

7seven 05-09-2013 05:57 PM

Shaping out to be a very profitable night for me, bets pending tonight

Won tonight
-Karlsson more points in series than Subban
-2nd ticket on Karlsson more points in series than Subban
-Parlay ticket of Sharks game 3 win over Canucks and Senators series win

Pending tonight
-Parlay ticket of Senators, Penguins and Blackhawks wins tonight
-Blackhawks correct series win score of 4-1

Anyone else here get in big on the Karlsson more series points than Subban, was almost a gimme. I've noticed BCLC is slow with updating, setting these odds for player vs player props, even the Thorton vs Henrik series points bet was pretty much a gimme, before game 4, Thorton was a 2x payout underdog, while having 1 more point than Henrik already and the Sedins looking absolutely useless.

Some great work 7seven, you've won me some lunch money. Alas hindsight lol, wish I put a lot more.

Hmm, correct scores, always hate'em. Out of 10? I've got 1 or 2 right. Not bad, but tough to really judge. Momentum changes fast.

how much did you end up putting in/win?

subordinate 05-09-2013 06:50 PM

Shieeeeeeeettt, Kuemper's in.

Looks to be Any Chicago Win IMO. @ 3.9 payout...ehhh., Not sure if it's worth it

rsx 05-09-2013 06:52 PM

Should just move Edler on a line with the Sedins.

Has worked wonder for the Oilers, they aren't going to be able to win shit before they start having to move players because of salary problems, hell they might not even make the playoffs before the purge starts.

Mike Oxbig 05-09-2013 07:13 PM

Cant tank if the Sedins are still under contract... they are due after next season and if we tank that year the #1 pick overall is the new Crosby/Tavares (McDavid)

subordinate 05-09-2013 07:15 PM

still can't get over the fact you make the decision to put a cold goalie, off a groin injury, in two big games.

Eff Cory's feelings, the team...
And ebbett over schroeder...
ahh,

But I still firmly believe, Canucks can win with the Sedins, just they were the main focus for the checkers, and we need more lines to give them some space to do their thing

DanHibiki 05-09-2013 07:21 PM

and ballard hitting an all time low...not playing a playoff game and losing the spot to a rookie who played 3 games in the reg season.

Won $110 on $100 for a Sens win tonight, kinda helped soften the blow of the -1.5 I took with the pens second game

This thread so quiet now... y'all should be watching the Chicago series see how good Bickell is. Since most of you can use the power of twitter to get Bickell here.

If Canucks want to extend Sedins then keep Luongo. If Canucks want to rebuild they should trade Luongo.

Schroeder was injured. It was mentioned he might need surgery to repair his shoulder.

Nothing huge, all these ones where made with BCLC playnow, which sets pretty low max wager limits.

So far this NHL Playoffs on BCLC

$250 on Karlsson > Subban at 2x payout, cashing out $500
$100 on Karlsson > Subban at 2.37x payout, cashing out $237
$250 on Thorton > Henrik at 2x, cashing out $500
$300 on Sharks game 3 win and Sens series win, cashing out ~$1312
$500 on Sens, Pens and Hawks win tonight, cashing out ~$1899
$100 on Hawks 4-1 series win, cashing out $410

But also lost
$100 on Hawks 4-0 series win
$300 on parlay of Canucks game 1 win and Sens series win
$200 on Canucks, Hawks, Kings, Sens, Pens and Bruins series win.

Have two bigger tickets pending with my local on Pens cup win and also parlay of Pens cup win and Heat NBA Champs

First off, I'm pretty sure everyone gets a 1st round pick, unless you trade it away......

Secondly, tanking doesn't guarantee you a top draft spot anymore, as it's a proper lottery now. Those of you comparing to Edmonton saying that they suck, and that they'll lose all their guys due to salary issues and shit...well, Edmonton is probably a few good defensive defenseman away from being a great team....Right now, they have too much offense and not enough defense...like some of you have said, they won't be able to retain all these guys, they'll trade some away and get some solid defenseman in return. Then we'll see...

That said, the way that both Pittsburgh and Edmonton got all those 1st and 2nd overall picks year after year after year is complete garbage...I don't know how an organized professional league can possibly guarantee a top 3 draft pick or w/e to the worst team in the league year after year....Of course teams are going to tank 5 years in a row if they are guaranteed the 1st overall pick every year...
