Just like Manny. You choose not to wear a shield (even a half-visor), you're asking for it. not saying you deserved, but it's just really asking for trouble.

o ok

Grabner with a great play, Isles up 2-1.

Agree. Guy wears the strap on foot protectors over his skates, nothing to cover his face. He was just playing the odds, and lost big-time.

We haven't drafted all that bad if you think about those three :troll:

I have a couple big bets on Pens winning the cup, but you know what, I'm now rooting for the Islanders, they're just fun to watch, its only money. I should dig out my Turgeon Islanders jersey from the closet if there is a game 7

LUUUUUUUU 05-11-2013 06:05 PM

damn pens win

kristianhay 05-11-2013 06:06 PM

Fuckin' Pens. Islanders were pressing so hard.

LUUUUUUUU 05-11-2013 06:10 PM

hope the senators beat the pens

Mike Oxbig 05-11-2013 06:17 PM

Lol nabby with 8.10 sav% if they had luu would beat the pens. Im down to aquire some heart from the NYI.

SkinnyPupp 05-11-2013 06:29 PM

Shit luck on the tying goal though... right off the defenseman's stick

Luongo for Grabner

:troll:

Mike Oxbig 05-11-2013 08:49 PM

Grabner plays with ton of heart and doesn't play like typical European :troll:
I hate this trade.

Florida Panthers traded Keith Ballard and Victor Oreskovich to the Vancouver Canucks for Steve Bernier, Michael Grabner and a 1st round selection (Quinton Howden) in 2010.
Matt Martin > Roberto Luongo

Mr.HappySilp 05-11-2013 10:21 PM

Sigh looks like I am going to lose my hockey pool, most of my players are from NYI..... I lost like 5 guys lol.

Matt Martin > Roberto Luongo

yea seeing that trade again makes me mad
ballard unfortunately didn't pan out under AV's system.....
Grabner would've provided some of that much needed 2nd line scoring...though I'm not sure if AV would've given him the chance to play though.

Tim Budong 05-12-2013 12:14 AM

Oh hearing people talk about Grabner(not just here) makes me sick
He not a bad player, but when given so many chances to make this team, he never did look like he wanted it.

He showed up to camp out of shape too many times, and then his last straw was with the panthers, which imo, he would have made the team if he tried.

Glad he found something in Long Island

Higgins - Kesler - Grabner?

jeedee 05-12-2013 07:11 AM

Gillis overpaid in the bidding war for Ballard.

It wasn't 100% certain that Hamhuis would sign with Vancouver, so Gillis took a chance and went for Ballard...and well...we know what happened lol

Ballard definitely would've been in the top 4 had Hamhuis not signed with Vancouver...so i guess Ballard can blame Hamhuis and not AV? :troll:

Mike Oxbig 05-12-2013 10:03 AM

Gillis always overpays then tries to dump salary for his mistake.

EmperorIS 05-12-2013 12:12 PM

Won 1 playoff game since Game 5 of 2010-2011 Boston series

Pretty Sad.

kwy 05-12-2013 12:20 PM

Series should've been 2-2 instead of 4-0. Refs were absolutely the deciding factor that tipped the game over for SJ in game 4. Granted, for the most part, SJ outplayed us this series, but we deserved a better result. I don't look at it as 4-0.

Is it the Canucks to blame or the GM who hasn't done shit ever since the stanley cup finals. He's taking too much credit for it. To know if he is a good GM, he needs to build his own core. Not Burke's Sedin sedin burrows kesler (nonis) Luongo
