Just 2 years ago, the Kings were barely a playoff team - 2 major trades and a new coach changed that.

Gillis pls

I think watching these series' has really put an emphasis on how badly we need a legitimate 3rd centre and a scoring top 6 winger. Look at the 3rd centres all left in the playoffs:

Kings - Stoll
Sharks - Pavelski
Pens - Sutter
Ottawa - Smith
Rangers - Brassard
Bruins - Kelly
Chicago - Bolland
Detroit - Andersson

The only real exceptions would be Smith and Andersson, but both are young guys who are playing pretty well. We have nothing in that spot right now. Not even going to go over the wingers because I'm sure we can all think of what these teams have in their top 6.

Canucks need a right-handed dman. That is and will be what ails the PP. Sedins were magical on the PP for Swedan, cause they had a booming shot from the right.

Every single playoff team left has a stronger top pairing outside of maybe the Sens

There is no way in hell the Sedins would be competing in any of these matchups

We also need two dman in Voynov and Martinez who makes combined of $1.5 million and not have a $4.2 million dman sitting in the press box.

And you have a supporting cast that actually steps up in the playoffs.

Alexander Edler has been suspended by the IIHF for his knee-on-knee hit of Eric Staal.
Edler will be forced to miss the remainder of the 2013 World Championship for his "reckless" and "dangerous" actions. The IIHF Disciplinary Committee can choose to extend Edler's suspension if they wish, which would open the door to him missing part or all of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Let's just trade Edler while his value is high....... maybe to move up in the draft or grab a legit winger...or maybe two younger promising pieces

I agree, I predicted a Kings sweep before the series started.. wasn't looking good until the last minute there!

Kings are really good, Quick is amazing in the playoffs, and the Sharks aren't nearly as good as the Canucks made them look.

^No Canucks? maybe the Canucks gotta kiss the NHL ass by getting mic'd up and doing more publicity shit to get decent reffing during the playoffs.
