I don't know who we have in our lineup that the Stars would want enough for Eriksson.

No reason why we cannot design and build a pp playing off the left side and utilize garrisons boomer. Heck even hamhuis is good at getting the puck through on net. Teams know our pp can only set up on the right side right now, it's a lot easier to defend knowing where the puck is headed eventually

Stars don't need D, they have amazing depth, although it may take one or two seasons for them to grow into fruition

And I think its pretty obvious why the Sedins are playing amazing at the IIHF World Champs. Its two different styles of play. They have more space to work with all around the ice, cycling is much easier because the opposition normally has to collapse, leaving the points open. The PK is miles behind the NHL, there's much more room behind the net, the Sedins are left alone there and have all the time in the world to do whatever the hell they want..


1:10 is the perfect example from today

In the playoffs the Sedins are getting hacked, slashed, and pressured every single shift... they can't cycle the puck because they are getting bodied, and need to rely on their strength MUCH more which is not their game...

Errikson is a pretty slick winger though.. I must agree, but most players would have scored from those feeds from the Sedins anyways..

Too late tbh, we will just be top seed as long as Sedins and Ehrhoff running our PP. Beyond that first-second round exit every god dam year. We will be in the same position as the SJ Sharks. Deadly PP but wsup den during the playoffs?

I tend to agree with your rationale, but at the same time it's a bit weird that the Sedins have NOT put up good numbers internationally in the past... they're way below a PPG pace historically... but tearing it up this tourney for some reason.
