Go google and pull up the 2006/2010 IIHF/Olympic rosters and then take a look at this years competition and roster. You'll be able to find the answer to that easily.

The Sedins had no choice really this year, and were the only #1 option for the Swedes, in the past they were able to play a lesser role, not as much as leaders and having to do the bulk of the scoring because you have Alfie, Zetterberg and Forsberg and others around to help with that.

No, that's because there are better swedes who can play two way on the top line. Sedin's skills without physicality dominates as seen on TV today.
