IT'S A CONSPIRACY! AV IS A ZIONIST! GILLIS AND AQUALOONIE ARE IN LEAGUE WITH THE LIZARD PEOPLE!

*AHEM*

Meanwhile...
JAY JANOWER @DOUBLEJGLOBALBC
Still NO confirmation from Canucks regarding Alain Vigneault.

Who wants to put odds that nothing has changed, someone tweeted specifically to start a rumour, and everyone just ran with it?

Soundy 05-22-2013 01:25 PM

Alain Vigneault @Coach_AV
I understand, Mike had to do it. There are no hard feelings.

That being said, I have a video of @GMMikeGillis smoking crack for sale! #nhl

Thanks for the memories, AV.

its the start of something new, for better or worse.

pastarocket 05-22-2013 02:02 PM

The Canucks' search for a new head coach begins. Who is your pick as the next coach?

What is Gillis' bold move for hiring a coach?

Renthal 05-22-2013 02:09 PM

linden for assistant?

Tim Budong 05-22-2013 02:18 PM

Can't deny AV didnt right the ship and took the team to another level after Crow
Great coach, but yes, it is time for a change.

Again, gotta keep in mind that the Canucks are in a new division next season and things will ONLY GET TOUGHER

haymura 05-22-2013 02:19 PM

Avalanche got Patrick Roy so maybe we should get Kirk Mclean...

This is Vancouver where hockey is taken seriously like Philly. One wrong move management is toast!

Derek_N84 05-22-2013 02:25 PM

RIP drop pass system lol

On another note, its unlikely but if Ballard doesn't get moved, he'll hopefully get another chance at the blue line. :eek5x:

Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks
Live stream has just started. Standing by for @GMMikeGillis. v.canucks.com/11cQrAB

Gillis better not screw up the hiring of the next coach. MG, you have no more life lines left.

Hire the right person to coach this team! Aquilini would fire this agent turned GM if the team does not do well next season.

Press Conference noaz

With AV's firing, there goes the wrinkles in his coaching system:

-Bye bye drop pass!

-sitting on one goal leads in games instead of aggressive game to getting another goal.

-Predictable powerplay with D-men shooting from the point, or going for the pretty passing to get a scoring chance down low.

-No more Andrew Ebbett playing as centre.

-line juggling that makes you scratch your head and wonder "What is going on?"

-an inability to adapt quickly to the opposing team's offensive and defensive system changes in the playoffs.

Have any of you read this yet? It's a pretty awesome read.

he's on the hot seat right now watch the interview

the most important thing needs to get done is condition booth or buy him out, he has everything we want and need as a 2nd liner

Tim Budong 05-22-2013 02:53 PM

hmm

happy with Rollie as the goalie coach

I guess that sums up the Roberto Luongo speculation

I don't know if I'd credit AV with taking the team to another level. The Canucks FINALLY got some decent goaltending the same season he arrived. Imagine what the Marc Crawford era Canucks could've done with a real #1.

Snow, Potvin, Weekes, Cloutier, Essensa, Auld, Skudra, Brochu, Hedberg + a bunch of other guys who played < 5 games vs Luongo, Schneider...

punkwax 05-22-2013 03:04 PM

Whoever they hire. Please. PLEASE! Go for the jugular in one/two goal games.

That is all.

Boostslut 05-22-2013 03:16 PM

People think that all of a sudden all of our problems are solved, the Sedin's are going to be back on their game, and huge performers in the playoff's, and we're planning the route for the Stanley Cup parade. It could be a tough season for the Canucks, who knows really? Could be worse than having Alain here. Only time will tell, its all speculation right now.
