its well known espn is the dogshit of dogshit when it comes to reporting hockey, they only have lebrun. the rest are idiots, its pointless to use the site as credibility, actually when citing espn for hockey it ruins your arguement. as to why i dont call you out all the time, because usually my brain hurts too much after reading your shit. you help this thread reach cdc levels all the time, br0. aint on no high horse, just sick of some idiot spouting shit like he knows all. but, i guess according to you, the super fan, im on some high horse. im so sorry about that, you should really ask someone to change your name to hockey guy.

I'd be down for Quennville to take over as the Canucks new coach.
Imagine the irony if that happened and AV got hired by Chicago |

Imagine the irony if that happened and AV got hired by Chicago | Then AV will bench/scratch Bolland and get Ebbettn onto the roster and play 3rd line. Seabrooke will probably get scratched too. Posted via RS Mobile |

| Don Cherry criticizes Canucks GM Gillis | Globalnews.ca Quote:
TORONTO – Don Cherry says the wrong man has been removed from the Vancouver Canucks organization.
Hours after it was announced that head coach Alain Vigneault was fired, Cherry said Wednesday during the Coach’s Corner segment on “Hockey Night in Canada” that Vancouver’s general manager Mike Gillis is the reason for the team’s struggles and early exit from the post-season.
“Three good guys thrown under the bus,” said Cherry, referring to Vigneault and fired assistants Rick Bowness and Newell Brown.
“As far as I’m concerned the general manager threw three good guys down the drain and that’s a shame. (Gillis’) fault all the way.”
Vigneault — the Canucks’ all-time leader in coaching wins — paid the price for the team’s early exit from the playoffs. Vancouver was eliminated in the first round in the last two seasons, including being swept by the San Jose Sharks this year, despite having home-ice advantage.
Cherry criticized Gillis and star players Daniel and Henrik Sedin for the Canucks’ poor performances in the playoffs. He also laid the blame for the goaltending controversy between Cory Schneider and Roberto Luongo on Gillis.
“The Sedin twins, and I hate to say it, in the seven games that they played (during the 2011 Stanley Cup finals against Boston) they got two goals, they were minus. So far in the playoffs this year they have no goals. They were minus-12.
“He’s the guy that kept them around. He’s the guy, the general manager, who had the controversy with the goaltenders … and three good guys go down the drain for him.
Vigneault led the Canucks to six Northwest Division titles, two Presidents’ Trophy titles and was awarded the 2007 Jack Adams Award as the NHL’s coach of the year.

Even if Gillis was removed, AV and the lot would've been gone as well.
I'm sure MG is on a very, very short leash. If there are no immediate results, I give him 2-3 seasons.

Why on earth would Quenneville get the boot if Chicago loses in the second round? Chicago had a crazy regular season, and the Red Wings/Babcock are a tough opponent!
Changing the subject, Iginla looks like he's having a lot of fun. I may be totally jumping the gun, but if the Pens win the cup, let's see how much class Crosby has. Will he let #12 hoist the Cup first (akin to what Sakic did to Bourque)?

Yeah I would have to agree with the above post part of the blame has to be on gillis for not solving the goalie controversy, plus the Ballard situations, and not picking up anyone during the trade deadline. Don't even say Roy was a good pick up we all so what happened with that. When the team fails I'm the past two playoffs like they did it the easiest way to change things is to fire the coach. But yeah I would say gillis has to choose his coach wisely since the new coach will have a long leash but gillis won't! If no results I wouldn't be surprised if he is fired at the end of next season!
