Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 44s
It's believed NYI would, under right circumstances, have interest in VAN G Roberto Luongo, tho 1st order of biz is to gauge cost on Nabokov.
| this could be interesting. the islanders may have beat the pens if they had any decent goaltending that series.

Main pieces, Lu for Nino? Plus whatever for either side. We'd have to take DiPietro back for a buyout though..

Nino was rushed too quick into the NHL by the Islanders, his first two years he just was not ready, but he's looked solid in the AHL since, put on some size and worked on his game.

meh if I recall correctly he was stashed on the 4th line with Jay Pandolfo and Tim Wallace just to meet the cap pretty much? I remember reading that on an article about how Nino was misused.

Yep, Nino was extremely mismanaged. Played minimal 4th line minutes, which obviously led to a lack of confidence. He led the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in points for much of the season and finished only behind Brock Nelson, yet didn't even get an invite to training camp. His camp wasn't happy so, I can see them moving him. If you wouldn't take Lu for Nino, you're absolutely insane haha.

Canucks would have to take Dipietro in a deal with the Islanders and then do a buyout.
Would love to get Strome, but Islanders will likely keep him as he is an eilte prospect.
I think Nino, if given the chance can be a top 6 forward. He has good size and pure skill, and rumours persist he wants out of NY.

Lu for any young centre for the third line would be ideal.
Sedins - Burrows
Booth Kesler Kassian
Higgins - EMPTY - Hansen
Sestito - EMPTY - EMPTY

Luu for Nino should give gillis 1 yr more extension even if nino doesnt work out here, fans shouldn't blame gillis
Flyers are stacked... wouldn't mind trading Edler for a few beating hearts (Talbot/Coutier) - http://www2.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/l...delphia-flyers |

Funny how the NHL is in support of Walkom's no-goal call, and yet Kerry Fraser is saying Walkom should have let play continue.
