Surprised no one has posted the new Stars logo/unis and the Canes unis. I quite like the green on the Dallas jerseys, though I'm not a huge fan of the logo. It is better than what they had though.

Good to see, it's been a long time coming. Everyone coming into the NHL has worn a visor or birdcage their whole careers, so it would be stupid not to finally grandfather them in.

Agreed, my half visor has saved my face at least 6 times in the past 10 years or so..

I still think it's kinda weird how it's only mandatory for 'new' players to wear them.

Protecting players is fine, I just hope its not a sly step towards eventually eliminating fighting. No one likes to fight or punch an opponent wearing a visor but you make helmet removal a penalty (say to prevent players from falling and hitting their heads on the ice) and it wouldn't be hard to go that one step further. When I played during full face shield youth hockey, I had to convince the opponent to remove his helmet as I removed mine. At the end of the fight we would both be tossed from the game.

How so? It's the same as when they grandfathered in helmets.. everyone has visors on before they have the option when playing in the NHL. Keep them on, like everyone did with helmets.

I remeber the days when helmetless players were slowly retiring out of the game. Could you imagine those guys playing today. What a hissyfit the non-hockey crowd would have with that. I really wish Bettman would quit letting these people dictate the game when they don't even spend money on it.

I don't really like the logo that much, but the jersey looks nice as a whole.
Much better than what they had before, with "text" logo.
I think they should have kept the gold colour though.

And Hurricane's new jersey is too boring.
They should have kept some black on the home jersey.
Doesn't seem like an upgrade to me.

I went on YouTube to watch the entire incident afterward, and realized it was retaliation after Carter took a chop at Keith's glove/hand.
Then Keith skated over looking apologetic... (or he just knew he was in trouble now.)

That Stars uniform looks weird. The green is too bright. That's going to look just super wack on TV I think.
