That's too bad. The guy really deserves a cup.

Maybe he can pull a "Hossa" and then hop over to Boston next season...
except Pens will win next year then... After they acquire Luongo.

:troll:

(my bad, double post)

I think LA has a better chance beating Boston than Chicago.
Let's hope LA advances.

OGCStrike 06-05-2013 08:26 PM

oh my fucking god. :rukidding:

Mike Oxbig 06-05-2013 08:37 PM

If LA is healthy yeah it would be a coin flip for that series but kopitar and brown are hurt right now

Gumby 06-05-2013 08:38 PM

Oh no, not Boston... :flamemad:

subordinate 06-05-2013 08:53 PM

welp..guess I can make back the loss wagering on Boston as the cup winner....I mean this is easy money...like the sidney bet......:(

Not only is kopitar/brown but richards too. They definitely don't look like the same team that won convincingly last year.

Pitts...what's more to say? Over 50 shots and 1 goal? When you run into a hot goalie, with shutdown defence, bye bye. But man, Craig and Iggy are going to be replaying their shots over and over again, so close.

Hondaracer 06-05-2013 09:44 PM

had $100 on boston tonight at +130 and 3 minutes before they scored my buddy text me saying $50 on pits and i took that too lol :S

Mike Oxbig 06-05-2013 10:06 PM

Half beat up Canucks 2011 team (Luongo with 2 shutout) took the Bruins into 7 games in the finals. The overrated pens might be done 4-0.

subordinate 06-05-2013 10:18 PM

Dammit, odds went from 3 to 2.2 for bruins to win the cup. fudge

yeah, honestly, the Canucks put up more of a fight than this lol

edit - fuck you shawn, shouldn't have posted that :( got me thinking of a healthy Canucks team in the finals that year...BRB no Samuelsson, BRB no Hamhuis (number 1 D), BRB crippled Kesler (our best forward), BRB Rome suspended, BRB Edler breaks a few fingers, BRB Ehrhoff is hurt with something

In contrast, imagine if the Bruins had no Chara, an injured Bergeron, no McQuaid, and an injured Seidenberg

BRB, still living in the past

Anyone else besides me seem to think the refs love to put away the whistle for boston?

Game 7 of Toronto series, apparently bunch of things should of been called in the last moments according to a Toronto fan. (He thinks boston is dirty as fuck too)

A call should of been made but it lead up to Bergeron scoring.

2011 Canucks series, boston can get away with rough play but nucks get sent to the box for the same treatment.

Conspiracy anyone?

No doubt Boston is good though, not taking that away from them.

Mike Oxbig 06-05-2013 11:52 PM

Then that means our core is not that bad after all, I still prefer Luu over Schneids.

did you not watch the entire game? the refs put their whistles away for both sides...in fact, the Pens have had 10 PP opportunities for the entire series, while the Bruins have had 8

Our core isn't bad, but it's not good enough to win the cup

SkinnyPupp 06-06-2013 12:01 AM

As for 2011 Canucks vs 2013 Pens, I dunno man, I haven't seen teams put forth an effort like the Pens did in the 3rd period and OT. There were phases where they were completely dominant, and the Bruins were literally falling all over the place trying to cope. Malkin himself had so many close chances. The only difference was Rask was really good when he needed to be.

That series of plays right before the Bruins scored in OT with Crosby just fucking dominating everyone around him was a sight to behold. And Iggy's effort before that... just amazing stuff to watch. They just didn't get the breaks, like the puck going this way or that (or Jagr getting away with a hook to pass to Marchand who sent it to Bergeron for the winner)

nope only caught 1st and 2nd OT.

Mike Oxbig 06-06-2013 12:22 AM

Game 1 Bruins set the tone for Crosby... there haven't been much of him in this series. It was mostly Letang and Malkin with 10 shots on goal. Crosby 3 SOG

Ongoing speculation suggests Malkin could command $15 mil per year tax free in KHL. @bruce_arthur. Not saying he takes it, but it's there.
inb4 Malkin bolts to Mother Russia

murd0c 06-06-2013 06:58 AM

Then the pens would have room to trade for Lu :troll:
