Iginla, Morrow, Crosby... Pens just needed one more piece to recapture Team Canada success :troll:

dbaz 06-07-2013 10:11 PM

rumour saying canucks just signed/on verge of signing Christian Folin

Eliteprospects.com - Christian Folin

The next big Swedish defenseman? :fullofwin:

Obsideon 06-07-2013 11:29 PM

Still in disbelief that Boston shutdown the league tops offense to TWO goals in the series!...
I think the Boston-TO Game 7 ignited it all for the Bruins, like they feel they can accomplish anything now so they are firing on all cylinders!... sigh don't want to see them win another Cup ... le sigh Vancouver :okay:

Noir 06-07-2013 11:38 PM

Am I the only Canuck fan who, at the time of the SCF GM7 loss, I hated the Canucks more than I hated the Bruins?

After the initial pain of the loss, I actually found more respect for teams like, CHI, LA, BOS whereas my I'm starting to realize, my fondess for the local team is just borne out of.... well, hometown loyalty and that's about it. :/

Sometimes when I watch this team, I wish they had/showed as much investment into the games they play as much as the fans watching them are.

dbaz 06-07-2013 11:41 PM

they are playoff built teams, those 3rd/4th lines and 5th 6th dmen really show up in the playoffs. bruins/chi/la teams probably shows this the best, which is why losing a players like raffi and malholtra can really kick you in the balls when its playoff time

I have a strong feeling that we will trade him to get Valeri Nichushkin or Alexander Barkov Jr. in this up coming draft

chouchou 06-08-2013 03:41 AM

Dan Bylsma's future in Pitts seems up in the air after the sweep..... How do you guys feel about bringing a guy with his repertoire over to Vancouver should he ever be interested coaching on the west coast?

RiceIntegraRS 06-08-2013 06:43 AM

Im not 100% sure on this but it seems like he has the same coaching style as AV. He has a system in place and lets the players do there thing.....

jeedee 06-08-2013 06:59 AM

I'd be surprised if Bylsma gets fired.

Don't think it's gonna happen. Maybe if Pens get knocked out in the 1st round/swept again next season

kristianhay 06-08-2013 07:03 AM

I don't see Bylsma getting fired either. It'll be hard to find someone who will mesh well with Crosby, Malkin, etc, again, which I think would be very hard when you're dealing with such high calibre players.

Drouin/Mackinnon or bust

JesseBlue 06-08-2013 08:25 AM

because its the canucks..bust...

68style 06-08-2013 08:33 AM

Haha Bylsma would never have the same success here... it's a big difference to be down a goal in a game and have shoulders like Malkin or Crosby to tap on asking them to go get one than to look down your bench and wonder if maybe Kesler or Burrows will get a lucky bounce or the Sedins can get their cycle going.

Not hating on the Canucks, just a big difference in marquee skill there.

I agree. Just too bad Yzerman traded for Lindback and Bishop. So they wont be in the market for a goalie till shit hits the fan.

TB have an aging St.Louis where Drouin can take over. Maybe he will expendable.......

Drew dotty said beating the canucks on home ice last year ignited them and believed everything was possible after that.

spoon.ek9 06-08-2013 11:16 AM

"dotty" :suspicious:

Mike Oxbig 06-08-2013 11:21 AM

Never liked Toews, I hope the Bruins go rest of the way winning it.

rsx 06-08-2013 12:39 PM

For some reason, been watching Rypien videos. Fuck I miss that dude.

Not really racist! 06-08-2013 12:47 PM

I'll just be dreaming about us moving up in the draft to the top 5... hell even the top 10...

Gilman said on 1040 the other day that fans would be disappointed if we expected big changes..
:fuckthatshit:

Then again its just a radio show

Mike Oxbig 06-08-2013 12:55 PM

We're just gonna keep our current roster scoring 3-4 goals a night entertaining rich business people who paid to watch hockey.

Next year is going to be tough with the new division playing against, Oilers, Kings, Sharks, and Ducks, hope we get beat up and exposed that we shouldn't have traded Luongo.

No question, Krueger is out in Edmonton.

The Oilers are keen on Dallas Eakins. Wouldn't be surprised if he's named this week. Eakins was also in running for Stars and Canucks.
Ugh, sick of the Oilers getting every up and coming anything. If the Canucks are stuck with Gulutzan or Arniel, I'm going to be rattled.

LOL 3 to 4 goals a night!? We can barely score one let alone 3 or 4..

I agree with what Gillman said-not alot of changes this summer..Cap is going down next season..Nucks are already over the cap. Probably sort out the goaltending situation and then management will assess the team with a new coach and see which areas really need to be addressed for the following season.
