If seguin is free riding on the top line while Horton is out, i can see him being moved next season.
5.7mill cap hit for seguin next season and Horton is UFA.

Looks like AV is going to NYR or waiting for Phoenix to relocate to Quebec... Quote:
VIGNEAULT INFORMS STARS HE NO LONGER WANTS COACHING JOB
Alain Vigneault will not be the next head coach of the Dallas Stars.
The former Vancouver Canucks bench boss informed Stars management on Friday that he was withdrawing himself from consideration for their position, opening up the speculation that he could take the vacant head coaching job with the New York Rangers.
Vigneault guided the Canucks to a berth in the 2010-11 Stanley Cup Final, two Presidents trophies and six Northwest Division titles. But he got fired after the Canucks were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight year.
Vigneault posted a 313-170-57 regular-season record over seven seasons in Vancouver, but only had a 33-32 record in the playoffs.

Isn't Utica like physically the furthest you can possibly relocate?!... that means calling up the boys would be like a 7 hour flight every time ... and they can't even watch their team play ... |

true enough, but now they have at least found a goalie to replace lack's spot.
as for utica, i found this on hfboards.
Utica really is well situated for travel, I never thought about that. All times by bus...
Syracuse- 45 minutes.
Albany- 75 minutes.
Binghamton- 2 hours.
Rochester- 2 hours.
Glens Falls (Adirondack Phantoms)- 2 hours.
Scranton- 3 hours.
Springfield- 3 hours.
Hartford- 3:30 hours.
The other New England teams and Hamilton are all about 4 hours away
basically it makes life easier travel wise during the season for prospects, as call up are usually not for too long anyways. they also announced that the deal is 6years long, the same amount of time the deal between abbotsford and calgary has left

Having a farm team that we actually own and control is a lot better than having an affiliate or having our prospects spread out. Despite travel not being great for call ups, it's a huge step forward for the organization. I expect development for our prospects to improve - more ice time, familiar systems, etc.

So with the rumors of Torts being hired by the Canucks (to be announced next week apparently), we basically did a coach trade with the Rangers |

I've said it before, but I really hope we don't get Torts. The players on the Rangers went to Sather and asked that Torts be removed as the headcoach, as well as multiple tweets about it from guys like Gaborik, Lundqvist, etc. Is that really the kind of guy you want to bring into a struggling Canucks team? I don't think so. I'm all for changing the culture of the room and team, but not like that.
AV to the Rangers is official. Quote:
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 1m
While some minor contract details are still to be finalized, Alain Vigneault has an agreement to be NYR head coach.
