Back to topic. Aside from the media "saying" how Torts isn't a good hire like Ed Willes article. Maybe we should take a look at Torts behind the interviews/cameras.
Scared... I don't think I've ever read a positive review of Torts...
It doesn't matter, Canucks are finished. Torts is just going to be a transitional coach.
The media are all against him coming here because of the way he treats THEM when have you ever heard a fan complain about a team winning games? 95% of fans don't give a shit if a coach doesn't give reasoning behind sitting a player for the third period, that will be forgotten the day after
The media just puts together this big storm because the coach gave them nothing to write about, big deal
And I gotta laugh at all these clowns phoning in saying "I've been a life long Canucks fan but with torts I'm done" yea I'm sure your fandom really extende deep if a coaching change for a team that can't make it past the first round is the breaking point.. Posted via RS Mobile
This pic is Photoshopped of course but it shows the perspective of how high the water reached in the saddle dome. Good thing the Flames sucked this year lol

what i find even more funny is people pledging allegiance to a team at all. unless you live in those small towns where its a one horse town and the community has nothing else to bond over about. but then again, that is pretty funny too
concept of loyalty? give me a break this, this would be loyalty to something you pay money towards. not a Rothschild blood line
its a fucking commercial franchise. similar to opening up your own KFC around the block

lol @ people thinking players/media are afraid of Torts.
The media will be absolutely LICKING THEIR CHOPS if he's hired. The soundbites are going to be nonstop and there are sure to be some sparks flying with certain members of the media.
Should make for some good entertainment for us fans.

The New York Islanders are moving from Nassau County to Brooklyn, and generally speaking, that's a good thing.
One of the issues, though, is that their home come 2015 is the Barclays Center, which is a basketball-only palace designed for the Brooklyn Nets. Hockey can—and will—be played there, but the seating capacity will less than 15,000, and the scoreboard will hang over the neutral zone rather than center ice.
On Tuesday, the Barclays Center Twitter account released a photo of the setup for the Sep. 21 preseason game between the Islanders and New Jersey Devils, and it looks...weird.
Okey dokey. A couple notes—there are no seats behind one of the goals, either; we knew this was coming, but hadn't actually seen the setup itself; and remodeling will, by all accounts, be difficult if not impossible.
