For LED lights, cooling is most crucial for maximum brightness. Any LED bulb no matter the chipset will not be bright if there is not decent heatsink connected to the chip especially the NP junction.

I have yet to see a "plug in" LED replacement that has a decent cooling design. The problem is once the heat reach the heat sink, most reverse light compartment is way to small and there is no where for the heat to go.

There are a lot of science in LED headlight design, there are cooling air current that pull heat away etc.

those ppl who gave bimmette shit for calling it the performance spoiler, u do realize that BMW calls all their aftermarket accessories performance exhausts, performance wheels, performance brakes... thus performance spoiler...

I agree, also all that flaming was uncalled for and flat out rude. We all make threads of every stupid thing that comes into our head yet this member is trying to do something different, she makes a vlog on her modding her car. Instead of flaming her or calling her an attention whore, why not critique her on her video, give her tips on how to make it better, where she can improve. She's putting herself out there with these videos, and it is a difficult thing to do for a girl in a male dominated community. Yeah we all know this thread exists and a couple others similar to it about recent mods, BUT is it costing YOU anything that this member made a new thread? and it's not even like she does it often.

One last thing, at least her posts and videos are related to her car. This member is keeping her posts and videos relevant to what this site represents. It's not like she's walking around wearing scantily clad outfits in heels saying "oh look at me work on cars." I am sure if a male on this forum did the same thing, it would not get the same reception.

Tl;dr... play nice, especially to new members.

edit. My left headlight went out so bought CN brand replacement bulbs at 6000K.

Who cares if she called it performance or not. It made me cringe seeing a self titled "bmw car enthusiast" cheap out and buy a $20 generic ebay spoiler rather than a well manufactored bootlid like Vorsteiner.

It's like buying fake side vents for a stock civic and saying it's a performance upgrade

i dono if u saw the other thread or not, but half the ppl that replied in that thread called her an attention whore, and the other half that replied gave her shit for calling it the performance spoiler when it fact it is called the performance spoiler straight from BMW

not everyone is baller enough to buy a vorsteiner trunk, u compared buying a replica spoiler costing arnd $200 to a full trunk that costs $1500+, really?

besides, what is wrong with replica parts for looks if a) the quality is good and b) the price is right?

r u now gonna pull the "if u cant afford the parts, then u shouldnt have bought a bmw" card now?

And yet, Neither the 1500 trunk deck nor the 20 dollar spoiler do fuck all for the performance of a street car. Get off your high horse and go Troll elsewhere.

A more appropriate comparison :It's like saying someone cheaped out cause they didn't buy a brand name oil cap. At the end of the day as long as it seals the oil into the car who gives a fuck. Neither one is going to do anything more than that.

So you're mad she didn't want to get ripped off on a cosmetic mod? It sounds like she isn't a huge brand-whore like most other BMW owners out there, and for that I like her style.

Good job.

Looks easily enough that I may try it myself on my Bimmer. Was spoiler pre-painted?

Thanks. Yes, it comes painted. You just message the guy your paint code. The ebay seller is cqicqi.

Bought a bunch of LED turn signals.

Completely different. Performance spoilers look good, fake vents don't. If it fits and looks perfect, why not?

Not everyone wants to replace their OEM body parts with aftermarket ones.

Why get stressed out over fitment, paint matching and all that crap when you can just buy a $150 spoiler off ebay that can be installed and uninstalled easily?

And you do realize you're comparing a $100-$150 carbon fiber spoiler with a $2500 carbon fiber trunk?

N-motion, autolismo, V-LEDS. You really cannot go wrong.

dared3vil0 01-03-2014 04:33 PM

^ Are they hard to install? Considering re-doing the dome light with LED's...

fliptuner 01-03-2014 04:46 PM

Usually oem fitment.

320icar 01-03-2014 04:47 PM

Hard or not, i think it's worth it. Brand new car, HID's and interior "mood lights" yet it's all let down by very 'amber' interior dome lights and a trunk light that isn't nearly bright enough..
