Keep and rebuild your old engine if it is salvageable. So at least you get the number matching components on hand. Quote:

I just don't have the money or space to do it. Any other time in my life I would and take it as an awesome learning experience. Wife in school, and no garage just makes it impossible.

My wife is understanding, but there are limits to that. I wouldn't want to carry my motor up the stairs too haha. She did make me a small motorsports corner in the living room as well where my old steering wheel and helmet are on display along with some pacific raceways photos and my driving school certificate with some destroyed brake pads.

sucks that your car needs a heart transplant. lol. would have been dope to see you rebuild and build it up so you have a bit more power.

The part that matters is the VIN on the block.. the block itself is not that heavy or big if stripped.. You can probably sell the rest (cam etc) off. Quote:

I'm pretty excited to get them in but it's gonna have to wait til this winter, the funny part is I already have a set but these were such a good deal I couldn't pass them up haha. I'm not looking forward to the growing list of work to be done when I finally pull the motor though.

I need to get an oil pressure guage to determine if I want to do a 98+ 5SFE high pressure oil pump upgrade as well.
