Sourced out a decent quality 98+ rear bumper and will be sent to a bodyshop to get painted along with the front bumper for the itr..

Also bought a TOP1 diffuser and a gurney flap, sooo can't wait to get it all mounted on!

Got my caliper rebuild kit for my 6-pot brembos from RB, Custom hats from TCE, and Pads and SS lines from ECS. Still waiting on my rotors.

I'd return those hawk's while you still can. I've run a few sets of them and they're garbage...

Look at that taper, and how badly it destroyed the rotor...

Pads also falling apart (DTC 30's)

Spoiler!
I'm not saying the Hawks are good pads but didn't you put so much heat into your brakes that you warped the backing plate of your pads?
I thought I remember seeing you post a picture of the carnage semi recently

Did I also mention the pads briefly caught on fire?

Yes the pads were tracked, but DTC 30's are designed as, well, a track pad.

Ill try them out first. AFAIK, no one has tried these on a GP. And no one has tried these with the rotors i will be using. So fingers crossed mine wont end up like yours.

Custom spacer for between the engine and transmission on the rally bug. I can't get enough space for my hydraulic clutch conversion without a few custom additions. This is one piece of the puzzle.

The next piece, looks like a regular old pressure plate...but custom. It's significantly thinner than a standard beetle pressure plate, uses special springs and case to make it thinner. It's designed to be used with a dual-plate clutch system, but I talked to Kennedy and they were able to match the hold of my current pressure plate but in this thinner design. I'll use it with a single clutch plate, allowing me (with a little machine work) to sink it into the flywheel.

Between the thinner clutch setup, the spacer, and a new Hydraulic adapter I will machine, there will be more than enough space? Lol. A little too involved in the Escort project right now to go any further though, gotta get that shell ready for paint.

-Dave

*Edit* Oh yeah! Forgot these!

Decided to go high tech and ditch my individual wideband, boost controller and boost gauges and go to the all in one from Innovate, being all tied together it can instantly cut the boost if it detects a dangerous AFR or overboosting which seems a lot safer. I'll see how I like it before I go selling off everything else though.

Sadly that shift knob, like my steering wheel, is probably going to wear out way too fast. But sweet until it does!

Swung by a wrecker to pick up some parts for the Craigslist Saab Project.

Hatch shocks
Throttle cable
Trunk release switch
Door pull
E-lights switch
Driver door lock actuator
Power mirror adjuster switch
Central lock control module
Speaker grill

And a piece of the wiring harness for my DD Acura. Stupid OEM design for the harness in the door means that wires tend to crack and break every time the door opens.

About $500 in parts, picked up from Pickapart in the 'Wack for around $70. And, yes, all the bits work.
