Kingsway Auto Detail / A1DetailPlus.com TERRIBLE SERVICE

Ill go step by step.

-I ordered a car through a toyota dealership and was waiting for it to get delivered

-I told the salesman and the mechanics to NOT WASH VACUUM OR TAKE ANY OF THE FILM OFF THE CAR

-Picked up my BRAND NEW 2013 car on June 9th 2012

-Car had not been washed and ALL the film was still on the car from factory, (seat plastic, HOOD FILM, roof film, trunk film, etc.etc.)

-Called and booked an appointment @ Kingsway Auto Detail (east 5th ave in Vancouver) for June 18th (9 days after getting the car)

-Took it in to them to get it Paint Pro, Rust Pro, Undercoat

-Picked it up from them, and it was cool
HERE is where everything went downhill

-looked at the hood and there was a HUGEEEE gouge that ran the length of the hood from the front to back with a slight curve

-Showed them, they said they will fix it

-Took it back to them 8 days later (when they were free next)

-Dropped it off on the 26th June 2012 @ 9:00am

-They said it would take 1 hour, so "come back at 10:00am"

-I came at 1:45pm on the same day, they hadnt even touched it yet

-They said 10 minutes

-I left and called them at 2:30pm and they said 1 more hour... 3:30pm

-I went back to them and the scratch was still there

-I said:
me: the scratch is still there
them: yea man its too deep
me: ...uhhh yea, cause u did it
them: no we didnt, that wasnt us
me: yes you did, it wasnt like this when i picked the car up
them: it must have been the brush when they have it at the dealership
(this was bullcrap because no one washed my car)
me: i dont think so, it looks like someone rubbed it with a rag with a rock caught in it
them: no man, it musve been at the dealership as a display model
(bullcrap again because my car wasnt a display model, there was only 5 on the shipment and i reserved mine Mar. 31st 2012)
(DOUBLE BULLCRAP because no one took the film off my car until i took it home)

-then i left and went home

-these guys are fu(k|ng the worst, they wrecked my brand new car and not only ADMITTED it initially when i showed them the scratch, but then denied it one they figured out they couldnt get the scratch out. They did NOT fix it after they scratched my BRAND NEW car

I took my car to them to get something done... it came out scratched... they WILL not fix it... PERIOD

I would be VERY careful when dealing with these guys, they have VERY VERY little work ethics and did not show any remorse wrecking my brand new car.

Please be careful, im not trying to hate on them , im just telling you exactly what they did

Sorry to hear about that man. thats the risk of sending your car to a detailer who hires high school drop outs for $8 per hour to wash cars.

usually you want to do a walk around the car with the manager before you leave it out, mark down all the imperfections, or in your case, perfections, so in the end when you pick it up there is nothing to dispute.

you can send them a letter threaten to file sue in small claim court (you can do it yourself, don't have to get a lawyer), and mention you would be willing to settle out of court for a repaint of the hood and cash compensation of $500 for your time or something.

they probably would just settle than to go through the hassle of going to court with you.

on a serious note, boostaholic has it right. They won't want to deal with court, especially since its their fault and it will cost them more in the long run. They just don't want to accept any blame

well, i personally watched the OP remove teh plastic wrap off teh car... there was no damage to the car when the OP took delivery of it... i watched the car drive off the dealership lot... june 9 was the Regency Scion FR-S launch party... i was there in attendance...

if the OP claims that nobody has washed teh car since, then there should be no reason to doubt that the detail shop may have caused this damage... i would talk to the manager (i think his name is Nittun) and tell them this is an unnaceptable level of service and atleast get your money back... in full... if not, have them pay for the repairs...

when i pick up my car from the same dealership, i'm leaving the wrap on the car until it gets to my detailer who i know personally, so he can take care of my car...

if you're this 'anal' about it...why not detail it yourself?
With the money you spent...coulda picked up an arsenal of quality detailing products. Instead they use commercial crap washed by an $8/hour employee.

Why didn't you go to a revscene sponsor and went to some shady place on kingsway? This is even worse than buying a detail package from the dealer. Did you check the odometer too? Guys there probably did a few donuts and burnouts.

typically you would take the film off at the dealer upon delivery, to check for any defects or transport damage.

do u have pics before / after?

i never said what car it was lol, and yea, i took the film off myself when i got home. Hood film, roof film, and doors and fenders and trunk, etc, etc, so no one at the dealership touched the car, i think you are thinking about a different car cause i drove home with the film on
