Finevu and Blackvue are both very popular blackbox in Korea. They are specifically designed for Highend car owners and people who really care about video quality. They are best selling blackbox for European car owners in Korea. Many people install 2 cameras, facing one forward and facing one rear.
It used to be DR400G as popular pick for front facing cam and CR200HD for rear facing cam. However, since the launch of CR300HD in Feb 2012, the trend is now CR300HD as your front facing cam and DR400G or CR200HD as your rear facing cam.
Blackvue DR400G offers GPS capability. It will record speed and location of your vehicle. For Finevu CR200HD and CR300HD, you would have to buy a GPS kit for to record speed and location of your vehicle. However, unless a driver strictly obeys legal speed limit, we recommend turning this feature off.
Finevu CR300HD offers 5 mega pix quality with 1080P Full HD at 30FPS.
Blackvue DR400G offers 2 mega pix quality with 1080P Full HD at 30FPS.
The CR300HD features dedicated buttons to toggle individual features such as mute/unmute, manual record, on/off, picture taking mode, and parking mode. It also features a 360 rotatable stand which always come in handy when you want to snap a quick picture.
It really comes down to what is important to you: a more affordable price with a respectful amount of functions and quality, or the top of the line product, for a slightly higher price tag
