There is such a massive difference between police lights and a small blue LED that I would like to think the world still has at least that much common sense left.
You can always turn it off lol (except the dr400 v2 )

You're comparing a 1watt + police strobe light with one that glows from the dash cam?
Heck, there's LED / backlight from your radio / entertainment system too. Or a "police colour" RED led that glows from radar detectors too. I suppose those are now illegal too 'eh?
might be just a brain-fart so to speak but i just figured in the dark of the night with a blue LED at the upper windshield might attract unnecessary attention from the local police enforcement. fingers crossed though, LED looks sick there lol.

Anyone else worried with the increase in popularity there'll be an increase in thefts?
I'm worried it'll get to the point where thieves recognize the base attached to the windshield even with out a camera and break in with the hopes of you having left it in your glove box. Similar to how it was/is with GPS units.
for the guys using the 400 season two, i'm using multiple sd cards and when the blackvue formats each new card it installs new copies of the blackvue program. I do know that the card basically is the OS when the cam is on.
What i want you guys to check is this. change you settings using the blackvue settings on one card and then plug it into the cam. after going through a number of other cards (without using the blackvue program on the other cards to change settings) can you guys see if the changes from the first card carried over to the extra cards?
reason im asking is I changed the settings to show speed on one of the cards and in my other cards the videos did not show speed.
If this is indeed the case then any settings you change through the program on one card you may very well have to do it for every card you are currently using and for future ones at that.
just wanted to pass along my experience in case you guys have multi cards in use.
Other than that i love the dam thing, i went to get my car serviced and they asked if i wanted my car washed i first asked the service rep if the lot boys hand wash the cars of course the answer was yes. when i checked footage later the dam bastards used long brushes to wash the car..... gdi never letting any dealership wash my car ever again.

The camera settings are read off a config file that's stored on the microSD card. They're not stored on the actual camera itself.
So, yes, if you're running multiple cards and you want to have the same settings across, you have to change it within the program (or the .cfg file) in each card, separately.
