HELP! 60D autofocus not working!

I just purchased a Tamron 24-70 f2.8, tried it on my 60D and noticed the autofocus isn't working. At first I thought it was the lens so i swapped it out and the same thing happened with my Canon 10-22.

I did a sensor clean, cleaned the electrical contact, firmware update, removed battery and SD card. nothing worked.

I tried it on full auto mode (green rectangle) and the autofocus work with flash burst.

Any suggestions and/or guidance? I have to do a shoot this Thursday and this is the only body I have =(, if not I would have to rent one unfortunately.

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone else used your camera? Any chance the focus control was swapped to another button in the custom functions?

Are your lenses on auto focus, or manual? Let's start at step one.

Is it not focusing period? or is the focus confirmation light not coming on?

like do the images come out out of focus?

I know the canon 10-22mm is only auto, so that shouldn't be the problem.

This. Did you inadvertently disable AF to trigger with the shutter button to the "AF-ON" button on the upper right corner on the back of the camera?

no, I checked all the settings =(
I did set AF-on as my autofocus start so it still works, but I think my half pressed shutter function isn't working anymore even as I tried to set it as other function.

For the time being I'll be fine as I'll start and set auto focus using the back buttons.

Thanks for all the help!

Go into Menu>Settings3>Custom Functions (C.FN)>Look for the one that says AE/AF Lock, and select the appropriate setting (I believe it is AE/AF Lock) and your problems will be fixed
