I'm not really a fan of Willem Dafoe, maybe cause he always has that crazy look in his eyes. However, I did like this movie and I felt he did very well as the main character.
"Based on the acclaimed novel by Julia Leigh, THE HUNTER is a powerful psychological drama that tells the story of Martin (Willem Dafoe), a mercenary sent from Europe by a mysterious biotech company to the Tasmanian wilderness on a dramatic hunt for the last Tasmanian Tiger."
The description doesn't do this movie justice, IMO. I remember reading it myself and going "meh", but I still gave it a shot. I'm glad I did.
