Yea, it might seem like a scratch to a few people, however like i said before, its not. Its a crack in the paint.

It isn't a scratch. Like OP said it's a crack in the paint and I know why (well anyone that has bumped into anyone else would also know). The paint cracked because of this: in the video, OP's car was nudged from the car in front. The nudge wasn't all too bad but the front bumper of OP's car needs to flex just like anyone elses car so that it can absorb the impact. While the bumper is flexible, the paint is not, thus, the result.

Dropped off the car at KINGSWAY HONDA at 9am and received a call at 4pm saying my car is ready. I went over to KINGSWAY HONDA to pick up my car around 4:45 because i did not have a ride. When i got there, i was really disappointed. They only resprayed the small area and not the whole bumper.. There was a crazy amount of over spray, poor prep with masking tape and they didnt even fix the dent!! I was expecting them to repaint the whole bumper, not just the damaged area. The service manager had already left and i could not tell him what i had to say but i am going to give him a call tomorrow.

^ pictures of the repair?

You're better off claiming it with ICBC. I find it very hard to believe and unlikely that Kingsway Honda will be willing to pay $900 retail (probably ~$500 to them) to repaint the whole bumper.

Hmm repainting a bumper should come to around $300.

Just call ICBC. I wouldn't let them redo anything.

Colorworks LOL, that company is a joke. I bet they got overspray on the vehicle not just the bumper.

I would have went straight to ICBC in the first place since they didnt even tell you. They did not care about the customer''s car why should you care about there reputation. Your lucky you had a video cam or you would have been like the other stories here on Revscene where its he said she said. Also that repair job is a joke I could have got a spray can at Canadian tire and done it for $10 =P Really sad how they handled this I would bring it up to the media or Honda Canada. Threaten to go to the media if they dont give you a new ride.

I'll take the black CRZ in the corner!

Kingsway Honda sucks big time. They scratched our new car when it was in for a headlight replacement. They fixed it but it was not a good job so we got them to pay another paint job at a location of our choice plus free foglights. Never went back there afterwards.

*UPDATE*

Went to Icbc today and they told me that the whole bumper does not have to be repainted as long as the new damage was repaired... I told the claim representative that i was unhappy about the poor quality of the repair but it seems to them that they dont care as long as its fixed.. i pointed out the area of the overspray and line mark from masking tape but they didnt look or even feel the overspray..later she asks me "where was the overspray?".. in my head i was like are you serious?? i just pointed it out 10 mins ago!! i put in my time and gas to go over there and get it inspected but doesnt seem like they care about my complaint.. and for respray, its gonna flake off in a year..Anyways, I've already sent them the video and pictures and right now its under investigation. They said they'll get back to me in a couple of weeks. What should be the next step to take if they decide to not cover me?

My guess is icbc doesn't care because the damage has been tampered with. There wrong the over spray won't flake off I would go back to the dealership and demand it be fixed correctly. If you had proof that someone backed into your car you should have dealt with icbc right away. The dealership tried a patch job and now it's there problem. They should have never got involved in the first place

That's really bs, the fact they hid it from you is bs. You have a dash cam, the driver and the damn license plate of the other vehicle dude. I know you were trying to be nice but sometimes you gotta be a dick especially if they're dishonest. Next time tell them to fuck off, take it to icbc, make the hit and run claim, fix it at your shop of choice, demand for the refund for the life time oil change. Or if you wanna be a dick, demand for the oil and filter every 8000 and do it yourself

I might be mistaken.

Why would OP take it to ICBC and pay the deductible? Kingsway Honda should foot the bill for a reasonable repair with OP paying $0. Obviously, for a job like that... ICBC will not waste time with the OP.

That underground parking lot is a nightmare i always worry when taking my families accord to be serviced there but in the 4 years with them i don’t really have anything bad to say about them it seems to me like you had a case of bad luck, i hope they take another look at it and try to make it right.

There's always a party at fault. Even if ICBC chalks it up to hit n run, OP still needs to pay the deductible.
