Just thought I'd throw in a suggestion, how about QTrade?
I've been using it to invest for a while now, however, it's on the pricy side about $19, but the level of customer service more than makes up for it. Also, very reliable platform, hasn't bugged out on me yet.
I also have an account with Questrade as well, but only for trading. It's design and network seems to be buggy at times.

if u trade penny stocks and in Huge lots like in the 10s of thousands then it might not be for u tho.
