wont this be useless like all other fiber optics unless you live in a newer residential area
telus 25mbps is enough for me ATM...and I have lots of people in the house streaming and downloading all day long

It's a trial. BTW, does anyone know how the Shaw gigabit Internet trial went? They were planning it way back in 2010, but I never bothered to follow it.

It would take at least 10years or more to get to Canada and I doubt The goggle TV package will be in Canada since CRTC put a lot of restriction on boardcasting limitations in Canada. One of the reasons why Netflix Canada sucks so bad compare to Netflix US...

Just that they decided to waive it as a promotion to launch it.

If 25 mbps is enough for you then you must be using some slow DL service.
Newsgroups will saturate whatever link you have.
