Luckily it was with my truck so it didn't get stuck under it.. however the smell is rancid till today,
last night I tried washing under it with detergent and water, today i tried bleach and detergent and pressure washing it, anybody have a similar experience? what did you do to get rid of the smell? do I just have to wait it out?

Your going to laugh, but a buddy ran over one about a year ago and he tried bleach, some sort of actual skunk smell remover etc, And NOTHING worked. Covered it up for a while but it always came back. He eventually got frustrated and used the age old trick- Tomato Juice. He used one of those backpack sprayers and a gallon or two of the stuff, let is sit for a while, then pressure washed with dish soap. Worked shockingly well.
when my dog got sprayed by a skunk, we tried tomato juice.
tomato juice + wet dog fur was way more rancid than the skunk smell lol
edit: usually i just wait out the smell... though luckily i have not actually had one stuck under the car for a long time

Laundry detergent works, but it has to be that powdered kind, the liquid stuff won't work. A skunk set up a nest right at the entrance of my friend's apartment and he got sprayed. The laundry detergent thing did the trick for him.
My brother ran over one as well. It was horrible, I felt so bad for the skunk. Anyways, we just waited it out. I think it stayed with the car for about a week or two.
it will last at least a week unless you take drastic measures. the smell slowly dissipates, just make sure you wash off your exhaust because everytime it heats up the smell will come back in full force until its dissipated.

Just ran over a skunk, car smells inside out. I quickly went to Royal Oak car wash and used the pressure washer, but still smells. Going to try leaving baking soda inside the car, also under the car inside my garage.
Will also do a car wash and see if that helps. Hit the car with vinegar, what other methods?
Any other suggestions that has worked for you guys??
Here is the secret recipe that WORKS. Mix the following:
1 quart 3 percent hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
1 teaspoon liquid soap or dish detergent
Mix these together and bathe ("shampoo" in or rub down) the spray victim thoroughly.
Be sure to use this mixture immediately after it is created, as it is unstable.
Let sit for five minutes and rinse with tap water afterward, and repeat if necessary.
For spray in the eyes, flush with water as soon as possible.

Never ran over a skunk but my dog has pick fight with them many time. Watching that dash cam video. Instead of trying to ran for it, the stop and tail up for a fight? No wonder they keep getting ran over
