2012 jetta negotiation room?

I took a look at the car a couple days ago, it was 24k before fees/tax.
2.5k cash incentive + 500$ off 60th anniversery going on,
what would be a reasonable amount of DC to receive?

Get a CCC report. Find the invoice price then go from there.

Although you wont get much more than what you have now

As much as I love Volkswagens, the new Jetta's quality is far below than those of previous generations.

But, that said, as others have said, there's not much room for negotiations. At least, not off the sale price. You'll have better chances if you buy the extended warranty and all the other stuff they try to sell you.

My neighbour just got one and what everyone says is true... the interior is a sea of hard plastic. It doesn't feel very German any more.

I'm bored and I have a few CCC reports left:
At $24k I am assuming you are getting the Sportline Automatic model, so here goes:

(price on left is retail, price on the right is wholesale)

So contrary to what many people are saying, there are plenty of incentives on the Jetta.
With the Golf (German made), the incentives are far less.
