how is white collared considered more successful if your gonna clock in 9-5 anyway everyday until you're 65 whether you make 50 or 100k/year. or you can just work a few more years in business get the money and can retire by 30 and never worry about money again.
success is determined that you never to work again for money unless you want to
lol @ retire by 30....
maybe how many people in this world do you really think ever pull that off?
maybe like 100,000 out of how many billion?

There are trades that you have to go to school for, for an example a plumber needs 4 years of schooling/apprenticeship before he can get his red ticket, also plumbers make good money and it doesn't matter about the economy cause you'll always need a plumber, also becoming a plumber is not easy, the schooling is tough, there's a ton of stuff you need to know and remember like codes and even a lot of math and science, if it was easy, then any dumbass can become a plumber. Also the stereotype for plumbers is that they just clean people's shit, which is totally not true, there's a service plumber (then you might have to unclog a toilet), commercial plumber, and residential plumbers
also there's no shame in getting into trades, I have soo many friends who have graduated from university and etc and can't find a job, and what do they do? They go to bcit and get a trade.
lol guaranteed Diesel_test your rents aint shit in reality to what you think they are..
I know developers and CFO's of MASSIVE companies who to the man worked until they were 60 or even older as consultants, no one in their right mind retires at 30 unless your some kind of fucking heir to a fortune

listen to the eric thomas secrets to success clip 5:27 point. " you aren't successful until i don't have to give you a dime to do what you do."
so we can all name a bunch of legitimate trades... what is the normal career people expect when they goto school for 4 years? 'manager' doesnt count, be more specific.

I'm working as an Engineer upon completion of my undergraduate degree.

Just four years of undergrad or is post undergrad counted?
Undergrads can become accountants, nurses, pharmacists, engineers, financial planners, investment advisors etc.
With more school students can become doctors, dentists, lawyers, academics, etc.
It depends on what interests you and whether or not you are motivated enough to chase your dreams.
I'm my own boss. I work whenever I want, and I make money 24/7. I'm branching out into writing and I can say I've never been happier. Being an artist was never a dream when I was younger, but now that I'm where I am, I am living my dream.
I agree with you. Perhaps the risk of death makes one's job worth doing, as you need to be brave to do it. That could instill a sense of pride in what you do.

I hadn't thought about it from that perspective but I completely agree, I know that's how I would feel.
I was more thinking along the lines of Military jobs.
how is white collared considered more successful if your gonna clock in 9-5 anyway everyday until you're 65 whether you make 50 or 100k/year compared to blue collar making the same amount working 6 months of the year. you aren't successful either way

You talking about success is like me talking about rocket science.

You might see some dude driving an E55 with the hottest bitches in the car and think, "Wow that guy has it all."
Yet he's got a coke addiction, is chubby, can't get his dick hard anymore, the women use him for his cash, his job stresses him out to the max, and he can't get a genuine hug without someone trying to pick his pocket.
Then you might see some dude at the side of the road in a broken down old Corolla and feel bad for him, yet he's happy with his job at Canadian Tire, can still plow his decently pretty wife anytime without needing a blue pill, has a townhouse in Langley with his woman and kids who love him, and he wakes up and goes to bed with a huge smile every night.
Simply by image and what's on paper the guy I first mentioned would be considered successful, but I'd rather be the second dude.
I don't think coke addict and chubby can be in the same sentence.
LOL!!!
I knew a couple people who were on the heavy side who did a -lot- of blow, it goes against logic, but their diets and lifestyles when off coke were really poor as well.
