E brakes don't just "snap." If I am parked on a slope, I have the weight of the car resting on the e-brake rather than on the transmission.

on a steep park I would put car in neutral then use the parking brake to lock the car in, THEN put it into P.
That pin that holds the car's gear is pretty damn tiny.

When I drive automatic cars I just put them into park then raise the ebrake. Why does it have to be so complicated?

don't forget to turn the wheel, that click sound means it locks the tires in place.

What is this "car" you speak of?
