just quickly fabbed up a suction gopro mount using one of the ram mount style gps suction cups i had laying around.
cost? free. may be a bit bulkier than genuine gopro suction mount, but thats $59.99 lol
pretty much took the flat sticky mount, stuck it on to the female ram base, and it clicks right into the male ram suction mount. the GPS it was made for is 169g, the gopro with waterproof case and 1 hinge is 154g so there shouldn't be any more of a risk of it flying off.
seems to be pretty damn stable. though i only tried it on the car today. still trying to get used to the whole thing. also haven't edited videos since grade 11 video arts, which was almost a decade ago. AND ive never edited on a mac. so no idea what im gonna do...
also went today and bought a new tank bag for my girlfriend as well as another helmet for myself.
Been doing that but they keep throwing in random junk that is either common with driving a car, or has nothing to do with a bike. I keep coming across things about cyclists for some stupid reason.

Is the learn to red book the one you get before you take the theory test? Just read it all dude. Odds are you will learn something simple about road rules that you maybe took fr granted or forgot. Might be on the test. It's not all motorcycle only. It's all road rules
If you really don't want to read the book, try taking the online practice test and see how you do. Just a warning though, the real test is a little more tricky, but you can still blow through it using common sense.
the online practice test is not specific to class 6. its just the same as class 5. common sense on the test isn't very common. they shorten sentances so you have to pick the one thats "least wrong". also on one of the questions, the illustration is incorrect (genuinely) and the answer they says is correct is wrong.
either way. this is the longest week of my life. can't wait to get itttttttttttttt. (spoilered for shitty pics off of the CL ad)

Spoiler!
Man those 04/05 gixxers had some MASSIVE mufflers...
I genuinely agree. "HP wars" breed innovation. Stagnation isn't good for the consumer and that ultimately isn't good for the financial viability of the industry. If consumers aren't interested they won't buy bikes, the manufacturer's will allocate less capital to R&D and then we are all sitting here complaining or (worse) we move onto another hobby/sport.
It's critical that the industry generate attention and exposure right now - and if this is how they do then we all benefit. None of us might need or want a 200-hp, superbike, but the technology and innovation within them will trickle down into their 600cc and 300cc bikes in short order.
I strongly believe that after an extended period of stagnation (triggered by the 2008 global economic crisis) the sportbike industry in particular needs this explosion of innovation in whatever form it takes to drive exposure and interest from a broader audience.
We all benefit.
This next few years will be interesting in the bike market with a few manufacturers hitting or going past the 100 year mark, or 50+ years in racing.

Is the actual test specific to Class 6? Also unless I misunderstood the book, if you're ready for both your Class 5 and 6 road tests at the same time, you only have to take 1 to get both licenses? But if I already have a Class 5 I have to do this test for 6?

The knowledge test to get your Car L is one test, and the knowledge test to get your motorcycle L is another test. Both share similar questions like what laws are and identifying road signs. But then after that it is license specific. Ie: lane positioning and passenger care for a motorcycle WONT be seen on your CAR knowledge test.
If you are talking about road tests then I am not sure. Just because you pass your motorcycle road test in no way demonstrates that you are able to safely operate a car. So I don't see how in any way you can "take one test and pass for both licenses"
Edit: all I was saying is that on the internet, icbc provides practice knowledge tests. But they are for cars, and have no specific questions pertaining to motorcycles. So just taking the online test over and Over only covers 50% of the curriculum
