^If you decide to buy a paddle stand, I have a set I'm selling, it should fit most bikes. The measurements are in the link. I have to sell as a set though, both front and rear together. Looking for $50. Only used for a year and a half for my first bike. PM me if anyone is interested.

If you're not currently riding then why not wait? If you are riding in this weather then you definitely need it ASAP.

IMO there aren't a ton of deals to be had at the motorcycle show gear wise. It used to be better but the amount of Gear available for purchase and the deals at the show is shrinking every year.

You're better off just ordering something online, you'll get a better deal.

NHTSA: Motorcycle Fatalities Down in 2013 ŧ Motorcycle.com News

Great article - motorcycle fatalities were down 6.4% in 2013 ... but that said, 4,668 people in the US still died in an accident. For further context, 14.3% of all US traffic fatalities are riders. We all know the risk - it's substantially higher than being in a vehicle : the key is that we just take the necessary steps to mitigate the risk.

More of a dirtbike thing, but Princess Auto has hitch-mount bike carriers on sale for $70 if anyone else needs one.

bike mostly back together. only have insurance to the 16th or so, decided to take her out today. my confidence for some reason was super low though. rolling up to yellow lights i instantly would get anxious about how much brake pressure could be applied. not sure what was going on today

also decided to warm up the girlfriends bike to temperature and rode it around the block just to keep everything moving. wow the bike is stiff and jarring compared to mine. after 28 years i say it needs a full suspension rebuild.

Thanks. I'm assuming you took just the forks in, and had purchased your own seals?

Yes, I just took the forks in (although I think they can take them off the bike in their shop as well) and No, I didn't bring my own seals. If I remember correctly it cost me approx $190 in total which included taxes, seals, and oil in addition to the service. Still not a bad price for what should be done ideally every 2 or 3 years.

I'll be taking my son for sure, most shops sell discounted tickets and buying in advance saves waiting in line at that front door would highly recommend.

so, are there places locally to score used motors? im starting to toy with the idea of swapping the motor on my old kawasaki. its 100cc air cooeld 2 stoke is still giving me grief, and it is very slow. also i found that between 4th and 5th there is a neutral LOL so it must slip between gears.

so im wanting to start looking into what would have to be done to swap in another single cylinder motor. maybe a 250cc? id be fine with anything from a dirtbike really. would like to keep things carbed and stuff. as simple as possible. but i'd like more reliablity and more speeeeeeeed.

any of you guys swap motors before?
