Scratches on the left side fairing, as well as stator cover. Cosmetically that's about it. FI light is also on. Might be because of the yoshi exhaust. I've already had a look at this bike, deciding between another. Still can't make my decision!!

That's actually a decent price for an 07 gixxer 600 with that much mileage. As Sunfighter said, check for scratches to see if it's been downed at any point of it's life. And ask for a full service history, if available. Also try to convince him/her to let you test ride it, "brake calipers off of a race bike that my buddy gave me" ... i'd want to test the brakes first before buying.

Such a heaty road, not sure why anyone would ride impound speeds on there find somewhere else to open it up. Now that I've said that I'm sure I'll be getting impounded somewhere else this week.

I do most of my riding in the states now. Better pavement, no impound.
When I do go up north I don't speed until I am well past pemberton.

They're all the same.. Its really all about location if your closer to Richmond go to 1st Gear, if surrey PRS.

As for Gear, Modern usually gives good discounts on a full combo package, Helmet, jacket and gloves and pants if you need them.

Depends on your budget and planned riding style. I could post up a how to find good gear guide if you'd like.

All I need is the bat helmet and I'll be good to go haha

My friend also told me to consider and 2 piece and try to see if I can downsize the pants which seems like a good option if they will do it

Monster had relatively high cost of ownership.
I asked imperial motorcycle runs about 1.2k for the valve adjustment service.
But all that said I will pick monster over fz8

Dainese also makes nice leathers.
You should look into custom made leathers as well.

Strictly based on looks I liked the FZ8 more then my FZ-09. I looked at both when purchasing, seems like a decent bike. That being said, I've always wanted a Monster but the maintenance costs as mentioned could be high. The Ducati will probably hold it's value slightly better over time then the Yamaha.

Does anyone here subscribe annually to Greg Moore Raceway? I'm thinking of making the Grom a street and track bike. But was wondering if anyone has experience there?

I heard its an Annual fee of ~$500 and you get a key to the track and use of it anytime, except event days.

two piece leathers are, in my experience, uncomfortable as shit though. much more mobility in a one piece and you can actually hang off the bike. having to take a shit half way through the ride is a bit of a challenge though lolol

So test rode the FZ8 for a good 30 minutes and it was not bad.
Exhaust note is pretty meh

Couldn't ride the 696 until next week because the manager wasn't there. I did sit on it and turn it on and it instantly felt more "passionate" iunno how to describe it lol

Too bad the closet street triple is in kelowna.
I plan to keep this bike for a good 5 years or w/e so I want to make the right choice.
