Unfortunately no.
I think the fz8 has some under deflated tires so it made the steering feel a lot heavier.

Incorrectly inflated tires can totally ruin your impression of a bike.

Sibling rage
Raiden I think I saw you on Imperial the other day. You were heading west and turned right on Tyne. I yelled at you but you didn't hear me.

So finally picked up my bike after 1 month of being a cager.
I got a k8 gsxr 600 for a pretty good deal.
One thing I'm not use to coming from a ninja 250, is the heat of the engine. The thing gets so hot.
Question to other gsxr or 600 sport bike owners.
How hot does your engine get?
My temp in stop and go traffic peaks out at about 105c
Is that normal?
Thanks

Thanks | Bigger engine, more heat. Honestly I don't find it too bad when stuck in traffic apart from when the fan kicks in. Then you really feel the heat on your right leg.
The temp. reading is normal. At 105 the fan kicks in and shuts off at 99. However if the ambient temp. is around 35+ then the fan will kick in at 100 and shut off at 95. I've had that happen last summer when going to osoyoos and I got stuck in some traffic.

My SV would get to those temps in stop and go often. Nuts didn't enjoy it during the hotter days of the year. Kingsway commute FML.
The FZ8 I rode the other day did the same thing in heavy stop and go. Once you get going on the light thought it quickly cools down to 80s. If its constantly staying in the 100's and not cooling down maybe you do have an issue.

Oh once I get going it drops down to mid 90s
I just not used to that heat coming from my ninja 250.
Good to know it's normal too b/c I not too mechanical savvy so I worry about getting a lemon.

Right now my k5 gsxr 600 cruises at 81 degrees. Stop and go up to 91-95 and grid lock on the highway up to 105, but I've never seen higher

My air-cooled Ducati gets up to 155 in stop-and-go traffic (not that I'm ever stuck, hahahaha). Sub 100 on spirited rides without traffic.

Second try at the Class 6 road test -- absolutely aced it! Gotta give a shoutout to 1st Gear Motorcycle Training in Richmond for giving me the basis for safe riding and V-Twin Motorcycle School Okanagan in Kelowna for letting me prep for and take the test on their VTR250. I had a choice of using their new Harley Street 500 which looked super sweet but the VTR250 was the closest thing to the CBR125R and XT225 I've been riding.
Also, 34C in cool weather riding gear is stifling hot.

Most people around here seem to. After getting into one accident as a squid, I won't.
I do need to look at mesh gear and armoured jeans though, but after I buy a bike again.
