^both technically.

mission raceway has some lapping days and hosts the WMRC.

though most seem to go to The Ridge or PIR in seattle or PIR in portland.

Never even thought of driving down to the States to race. That's a really good idea.

Many, many hours of editing went into that photo. I can see what CharlieH is getting at. Cheap ABS, incandescent back-lit gauges, rainbow of indicators. That strange offset design and how it kind of but doesn't really meet the ignition.

Looks like a fancy aftermarket Koso gauge more than something that should come on a bike of that caliber. Guess all that money goes straight to paying for that sweet ass Rotax V4.

CharlieH will know as he has gone a few times I believe. From what I remember, you get a full set of gear + S1000RR with a 1 on 1 instructor. Not sure about food/lodging.

Would be cool if we could get a group going!

full gear rental + bike + 2 students:1 instructor (regular days are 3:1), and you get an extra 2 sessions each day or something like that.

theres a $2000(iirc) damage deposit so if you wreck the bike you can take solace in knowing that it won't cost you more than $2k to fix lol.

i felt like CSS' curriculum was a little lacking for those who are aiming to really haul ass at the track. they have a "C.O.D.E Race School" for that but it's unfortunately not offered at the ridge.

Anyone here have experience at the GMR track? Im interested in bringing the Grom down. I'm just looking for a place to practice, not really looking to compete.. Does GMR offer this? Just looking for reviews of the track.

Thanks

So more introduction to track-days than advanced rider training?

big emphasis on body positioning, reference points, and a lot of foundation sorta stuff. i did the 3 day camp which covers their entire curriculum (4th day is just review) and we didn't touch on trail braking even once.

i've read tons of good things about Yamaha Champions Racing School. thinking of going to their 2 day camp in feb.

Arizona Eh... Man I gotta do a noob session first so I can catch up and do the cool people ones with you. If anyone's down for the Ridge let me know, otherwise I'm going to do Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
