Hi, the recent wind storm knocked my bike over and I broke a mirror. I like OEM more than anythin. Can I get suggestions on where to go and buy new parts? I saw some "OEM replacements" on amazon eBay. Thoughts? Thanks!

Bike is 2001 Honda CBR F4i.

try Burnaby Honda if you want a new OE. They should be able to source it still. Note it is a dealership so you will be paying a dealer price. But they are decent with discount if you mention you are from a riding school.

or... you can try to find a used OE in good condition, try Chop Shop.

don't have the address, google it.

I just passed my MSA and reported to icbc, but they didn't give me an 'N' sign. I currently have a class 5 licence and the paper says im class 'LDL'. I was just wondering if I need to display an 'N' sign on my motorcycle. I can't seem to find it on the icbc website.

TIA

that's because you don't have an N. if you have your class 5 then you wait 30 days and they allow you to take the full class 6 right away after passing your msa. the msa test just allows you to temporarily ride alone between dawn and dusk.

edit: i believe you have to display your L sign until you pass your class 6

Once you pass your class 6 you can get a full license, so basically do your road test and you are good!

after the MSA you still cannot ride between dusk and dawn until you get the full license.

you can actually ride at night if you get your 8N but it's not applicable to him because he already has his class 5. he passes his MSA, waits 30 days (iirc) and takes his class 6 right away. the only case you actually take a test for 8N is if you're not eligible to take your class 5 yet.

That's not really what he's asking.

No, since you have a full class 5 you do NOT have to display an L or N while riding your motorcycle. If you only had a class 7L or 7N car license then yes you would have to display the appropriate L or N for when you ride your motorcycle

6L's don't need to display an L, only 8L's. And there is no 6N. You're either 6L with all restrictions or 6L with partial restrictions.

I would put an L on when I was doing practice road test runs just to make other drivers aware that I was going to fully obey speed limits and MVA laws.
