Leather. I thought of actually just getting a double sided male snap to attach the 2 female snaps on the waist adjustment together which will fit better without having to modify the jacket (hope that makes sense?). Passed by a few today as I was doing other errands in some malls, but when they heard motorcycle jacket they said it's too heavy duty for them to touch lol.

Yeah it's difficult. In my NYC factory we use a hole punch tool with a sledge through a wooden block then install snaps into the holes with a 70lb+ cast iron monstrosity. You could do it yourself but the tooling isn't cheap. Maybe try upholstery shops or even a saddle-repair type place.

For leathers, I had a good experience with a small shop on Boundary, where the Subway is.

The original Leather factory - let him have a look at it.

yep The Ridge. Hardest I've ever ridden and possibly the most fun.

Learn something new everyday.

Going Eastbound on hwy 1 near west van and see opposing motocyclist close fist hammer motions on his head.

Learned today that's a signal for cops ahead.

I'm sure as riders we have moments we like to go a little faster than we should be. I'm just going to tell you all the consequences I have to face because I decided to have a little too much fun.

Got hit with an excessive speeding ticket, first ever real ticket aside from a couple failure to display N's from back in the day. Here's the cost break down.

500.00 towing and impound for 7 days
368 excessive speeding ticket
320 x 3 driver risk premium for 3 years
Total: 1828

Cop told me that if you are going 60+ over the limit then the amount changes from 368 to 468. Also, this ticket carries 3 points with it. 0-3 points and you will not pay a premium but if you have points from a previous offence within the last 3 years expect to pay a driver penalty premium.

I kept telling myself I would hit the track this year but lack of quality gear had kept me from going. Well, actually all I was missing was leather pants to complete a 2 piece suit but I kept giving myself excuses. I am now sold on having my fun on a track (next year for sure) and have since slowed it down as it just isn't worth it anymore.

Ride slow, ride safe

That is unfortunate. If you need a pair of pants I have a set of like new alpinestars for sale. I picked up a 1 piece suit at the end of the season and found myself only wearing it instead of the 2 piece. Let me know if you are interested.

How many bikes have signed up for the first May event? What happens if I sign up and there aren't enough bikers in group C? Refunds in the event there aren't enough bikes or do they just send a couple bikes on the track all to themselves?

If Group C doesn't get the minimum number required, then the waiters in Group B will be in Group C Cars. No more motorcycle group then.
