Would you recommend the course? I am thinking of taking it for something to do.

I did years ago, and it was great, well worth the money. But i'll be damned if I remember much of anything I learned from it now.:concentrate:

I took the 101 in fall,

Yes I would recommend it.

Every one will say you do not need a course I can teach you everything you need to know.

BUT are they willing to sit down and talk to you for 6 hours ?

It is worth it, I will most likely take 201 in fall, or when the big bike needs an oil change.

z3german 04-16-2013 06:26 PM

Thanks guys, k ill probably sign up some time soon then

Did my front n rear brakes today. Fronts had about 2mm's and the rears were nearly down to metal.. Found out the caliper in the rear had a seized slider pin. Cleaned up everything, lubed up all the components and even sanded the rotors down for a nice mating surface. Put in ebc pads! Rear rotor is scored to hell though lol.. Sanding helped a bit. Oh well

Looking at leathers now. What is everyone's preference? 1pc or 2pc?
Do they stretch over time?

Input would be great! Thanks

1pc : track use
2pc : street ride, nice to have if you want to take off jacket and walk around with, but its a bitch to zip up the jacket to pants.

i have a 2pc, but got my bonus so might pick up a 1pc

Two piece here .

I ride both sport/standard and cruiser and one piece look odd on the cruiser.

There was no booklet when I did it. It was one of his earlier ones in the back of Imperial Motorcycles.

Went to holeshot in Lanley and found an Aplinestars Carver 2pc for 799 with 25% off (is that a good price).
Can anyone recommend another place for 2 pc suits?

TIA

Kidnapman 04-20-2013 10:37 PM

Pretty cool helmet, but if it's not snell or even dot approved then its probably best as a display item only.

function > form

Passsed written test last week and have been looking around on CL and looking into PRS.

Really excited to get on the road.

Might wait for a few pay cheques to come in from my new job before I end up going to PRS and making any serious attempts at buying a bike.

Raiden next time I see you and your bike I'm going to bug you a lot :fullofwin:

Raid3n 04-21-2013 09:42 AM

check out Modern Motorcycle on commercial drive as well. He'll give you a "combo" deal if you are getting other gear with it

Definitely go to Modern, I picked up a 2 piece Carver in Feb for $719... mind you I also bought a Shoe RF 1100 + riding jeans... so the bundle may have lowered the price...

I should also note they had my size in stock, so no waiting for my order to arrive :fullofwin:
