Quick question.
Ive had this strong urge to ride a bike since this Monday haha so I've looked into a lot of stuff but I couldn't find the answer to my question. if I were to buy a used bike, how would I bring back my bike? Apparently I'm allowed to ride it after only passing a knowledge test but I wouldn't trust my self to ride it for the first time from Vancouver/Richmond all the way to burnaby. So do I have to call up a towing truck or something like that? Also approximately how much is the annual insurance for starter bikes like ninja 250?
Thanks in advance! Posted via RS Mobile

It's a 2006 r6. I bought it used. As far as i can tell, No mods running and no power commander. I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for the problem. I was thinking of goin to EMS for a second opinion Posted via RS Mobile |

Thanks in advance! Posted via RS Mobile | find a friend that can ride it for you. you won't be able to ride on your own until after you pass the knowledge test and the parking lot test.

Mines an 06 as well. I've heard nothing but good things about the service from EMS, that's a good option.

Thanks in advance! Posted via RS Mobile | Yea find a friend. When i bought my bike from the stealership (john valk) I had a friend ride it from the dealership to Richmond. Its fine if they rip it anyways because hard break ins are better for the bike.

Thanks in advance! Posted via RS Mobile | 1. find a friend to ride it for you, or someone that is willing to help ya out from the forum.
2. i know another rider who pays 30$/month for a 250cc for just basic insurance. she has about 20% discount...so you can calculate it from that. depending on your driving history, you may be qualified for private insurance for your comprehensive, etc, etc...(beacon insurance)

so kawi decided to put locktight on their phillip head screws for the bar ends, making it a pain in the ass to remove. Decided to use a hand impact driver. One side came off with about 20 hits, and the other was probably close to fifty haha. A little tired and disheartened, partway through i slipped and knocked my bike with a hammer. FML. minor gas tank scuff but still sucks. want to beat myself over the head after that.
in other news i now have red bar ends with non threadlocked hex bolts haha. next time i'll use a fender cover, maybe even a small torch wouldve been a better idea (covering the grips of course).

I would recommend Pilot power pure..those michelins are pretty good and they are good in the rain.
I am more of a pirelli guy, I have used a good set of diablo rosso corsa which are amazing and I Just purchase a set of super corsa DOT spec tires...going to try that out next year... I rode in the rain once with the diablo rosso corsa, just ride carefully..should be fine.

just get some road 2's and you'll be good to go. awesome tread life and you can still corner the shit out of that thing. only thing is the tread pattern looks retarded when put on a sport bike.

Supercorsa's rock. Just invested in a set of warmers and generator, extend the life of my new set next year.
