Glove overkill lol. So many nice gloves!

When you wear your gloves, do you feel the seams from the inside?

thought i'd give another option lol. i want to pick these gloves up my self.

The Knox Handroid looks crazy.

But i found this on another site

Well my knox handroids lasted all of 5 months - PistonHeads

Be careful with if you plan to pick up the Biomech gloves

Raid3n 05-30-2013 12:34 AM

that thread is also from 2010 though. 3 years is a long time

Gwilo 05-30-2013 08:20 AM

I came across that info on the Knox but that was it no further problems

That's good news, they are sexy gloves.

For anyone that is looking for an inexpensive gauntlet glove, Cortech latigo RR sells for under $100.

for a full leather gauntlet i personally wouldn't go under 100.

Very. It's just a few bolts and maybe a spring clip or two. Pad slides right out, and you reverse the process to install new ones. Youtube probably has instructions for your bike as well. Look up the forum for your bike and you'll probably find a DIY with instructions.

It took me 15 minutes to do the front on my GF's 250r (just one side).
  1. Removed 2 bolts that attaches caliper to fork
  2. Removed 2 bolts from the caliper that holds the brake pads in place
  3. Opened up the brake fluid cap (to relieve press)
  4. Use the old brake pad and a piece of thin wood and pushed the caliper piston back in to allow space for the new brake pad (use a clap if you have to unless you are a beast)
  5. Install new pads using some anti seize on the bolts
  6. Re install the 4 bolts
  7. look at the fluid level and closed the break fluid cap
  8. Press brake until stiff again and test before riding

Just make sure that when you push the piston back in you don't damage anything. Furthermore, be careful with the brake fluid as it tends to eat paint. I wrap the area with clothing just in case anything spills. Lastly, make sure the rotor does not need machining.

Hope that helps.

I've never done a brake change before on a bike and it was really easy. Very similar to a car. YouTube also helps :)

I have A*, Dragon, Icon & Sartso jeans

Any other riding full Leathers - A* or Rubber Side Down (Max Air or Shotgun)

Also have some textile pants for cold/cool wet weather

just regular jeans

Wearing full boots though, and knee pads.

Only thing im lacking is hip protection, I want to get my hands on one of those norosec that gdoh mentioned so bad.

Gwilo 05-30-2013 07:27 PM

Knox has some good shorty Multi Sport with hip tail bone pads CE Rated these are from a few ears ago but still can be found.

The sizing is, a little off I took a large but a medium would have been better (Size 34 - 36 jean)

The new line from Knox looks good too

was riding back from hats of day at north burnaby, while stopped at a light bike cop rolls up and said "race ya! " in good humor, of course I said no way and pointed to the rs Decal on my lid. He smiled and booked it, but caught up to him at next light, he said "i tried, I tried, but even I have to stop for lights"
